Talking about limited lines, if the FF movie is ever released they'll only have Human Torch and Thing figures. :lol

I do hope that rumor is nonsensical, because if true, it would be immensely petty and ineffectual. Most people nowadays come to comics through the movies and not the other way around. I don't think canceling X-Men or Fantastic Four or wiping them off the face of the comics industry would even so much as dent the movies' profitability, but it would hurt Marvel both financially and in reputation.

And even then we in germany will never get them :lol

So Marvel is doing their own time jump this september and it sounds really cool.

Oh its not supposed to be 8 months in the comics but 8 months of publishing. So those two issues will give us a glimpse at were both titles will be storywise in 8 months :)

Yeah the Ex Nihilo stuff is really not that great and in the end didnt really amount to anything. With the Infinity tie-ins the book gets pretty good though and everything after that was also really enjoyable.

I certainly hope so. If you manage to make the Avengers boring, you don't deserve to show your face in public.

Hickmans run on the book feels really odd to be honest. He is building up to this whole event of multiple earths colliding but the actual build up is all in the New Avengers book or so I heard since I never read that one past the first four issues. The regular Avengers book thankfully started to deal with that too once issue 24 came around.

Well, I just started New Avengers, and that does seem to be the case. Granted, I'm only two issues in, but it is a lot more interesting in New Avengers than it was in Avengers. The only thing I remember about worlds colliding in Avengers involved Hyperion's origin.

Yeah the whole"worlds colliding" thing starts in Avengers #24 after the whole thing with the Builders was over and its pretty cool so far how that book deals with that. It always felt like Hickmans story would have worked better if Avengers was launched much later so that we wouldnt have to sit through the giant Builder Arc that for now at least feels like complete filler.

I haven't gotten that far into Hickman's Avengers. :lol

It may seem silly but it's also how CEO's think sometimes. I could see them canning FF right now because it isn't selling and then having a book ready for right after the movie drops to make some money. Too few people read comics for it to effect the movies much I could understand Marvel wanting to so nothing to help this film in any way. The production news has been a mess so far and maybe Marvel is hopeful it will bomb hard and Fox will just give up on the franchise. They won't be giving the X-Men back any time soon but rumors are the FF/X-Men crossover movie is likely dead. Liefield runs his mouth a lot and he probably doesn't know anything but it's not a reach to think Marvel wants their shit back.



Except that IS a toy line and they shipped tons of those figures. Every store had them ahead of the movie and they looked just like the movie. The Wolverine had some 5 poa figures come out at about the same time but all comic figures and packaging. Same thing when First Class came out. They released some comic packs with two comic figures and comic branding. All to cash in on the movie after the fact but not promote it leading up to release.

Both recent Spider-Man movies had movie figures in stores months before the films came out. Even the X-Men Legends being released soon are all comic figures, limited to TRU at retail, and won't be out till August. That's long after DoFP is gone and the GotG toys have had chance to sell (showing up now). It is hard to say for sure but I looks like a clear pattern.

Suzu and I went and saw X-Men Days of Future Past on monday and what can I say? I absolutely loved that movie. Easily in my top five comic book movies.

Yup I read the first Issue and I really enjoyed it.

On another note I read the second issue of amazing and after that I only have one question left....What was the damn point of The Superior Spider-Man?!

Nothing that book has set up sticks. Almost every single damn thing got resolved and reverted back to old status quo in one damn issue.

I own the first two issues. They are the first (and only) comics I bought from a comic shop. :D

There might have been a greater impact planned, but the movies probably caused editorial to mandate these changes.

Marvel Now! Ghost Rider #1 a.k.a All-New Ghost Rider Engines of Vengeance: Part 1

It was pretty good, I like Robbie as a character so far, it was very short, so all it did was set him up as a character, there were a few pacing issues, but nothing that really hindered it, and my one main complaint was that it ended with him transforming, but other than that it was pretty good, and the art is interesting.

… No. What I know about Spider-Man comics in 2007 was that they had a storyline in which he wore a cloth version of the Black Costume and began violently attacking the Kingpin and his empire in retaliation for him having inadvertently shot Aunt May in his attempt to kill Peter.
