Why would be expensive ?
|
Creating, maintaining a channel is hard. It wouldn't make a profit, hence he would be wasting money. They couldn't handle a block how could they handle a channel?

What if Saban had bought back the PR rights sooner ?

Put all of that together, and you're basically trying to score a hole in one from a putt off the moon. A lot of non standard channels are just offshoots of already successful channels as is (Disney, Nick, HBO, etc), so they have the money to make up for dips when the channel doesn't perform. But for a company like Saban? Making a channel is just asking for failure. Quote:

Saban's version of Go-Onger would have been interesting to see.

What does AMC have to do with anything? Do you mean Saban? Because I don't think AMC needs any help with anything at the moment.

I doubt seriously anyone will try making a large scale children's network again. They'd have to compete with Nick, Disney, and CN, for properties. The Hub worked for a while. Until they inexplicably cancelled GI Joe Renegades and rushed the final season on Prime. And continued showing game shows.. and I could go on. But back to my point. Nick has the property for now and they aren't perfect. The splitting seasons during the calendar year, making each PR season two years. But it could be worse. Disney, for one, won't take the series back unless they own it again. Or Saban Brands really sweetens the pot. Something I don't see happening on either end. And no one should want the show on Cartoon Network given their history of cancelling shows. Young Justice, Generator Rex, and I could go on for another few hours listing. Nick, sadly, is the best of a shitty situation.

As long if the show is good then I can careless what gets adapted or not. |

I don't like the two season thing neither, but it's better then nothing. With Nick, Saban has to take it or leave it. As long if the ratings are good and kids buy the toys, Power Rangers is going to be on Nick. CN is not going to take Power Rangers, not many people have Disney XD and Saban is not going to let Disney air Power Rangers again. ABC Family and Discovery Family are not going to bother with it neither.

Would be great if we have a channel like Fox Box.It was great times.
|
Saturday morning blocks for kids are dead now. The 2000's decade was when they where dining out. Fox Kids died in 2002, KidsWB! died out in 2008, and Fox Box died out with 4kids in 2009.

The 90's was the last good decade for Saturday morning blocks for kids. After 2000, they started to decline with Fox Kids dead after 2002 and KidsWB! starting to lose rating after Yu-Gi-Oh ended in 2005 or 2006.

TLDR: AMC doesn't want or need a childrens block. |
Soon or late something will gonna happen.
|
Or they could stay on nick and keep falling further behind. We fans might not like it but I doubt a better deal will open up.
|
I'm pretty sure Saban likes to have Power Rangers on Nick anyways. A more popular channel means more exposure which means more ratings for them.
|
In the next year the contract will expired anyways.
|
They will likely renew it for another two years.
|
you don't know that.

It is extremely likely, however. |
Would be possible a pair of mentors ?

Either very horrible. Or very good. I'm betting on the former.

My money is on it being still moderately successful, and with the changes Judd Lynn has made, probably a decent, maybe great show. |
I hope Judd Lynn will work for Power Rangers 2017/2018 and 2019/2020. I would hate if Saban pulls a COD on us with producers and writers (like Jonathan Tzachor in 2017/2018 and Judd Lynn for 2019/2020).
|
And i hope we don't have another hybrid season in 2017/2018.

「@TokuKnight89」
Between ToQger and Ninninger, which installment had the more successful toyline? I know Ninninger is currently Bandai’s third best-selling toyline of the year. |
Ninninger should end up being the more successfull one. Still waiting on the final numbers.

I was thinking that Bandai might encourage Saban to adapt the series which had the more successful toyline. Even if ToQger and Ninninger’s toylines are on par with each other, Saban might decide to adapt the series with the motif they believe is more appealing to the target audience. Adapting Ninninger into a Power Rangers installment shouldn’t be an issue; Kakuranger, Hurricaneger and Shinkenger were adapted with Western-friendly/ adjusting elements. |
