TBH as someone who grew up with Beast Wars and the Unicron Trilogy I'm just happy MPs are branching out from G1.
Come on TM Blackarachnia and Armada Megatron:lol |

Also I prefer Tyrant better. |
Some images of a grayscale prototype have surfaced which picture the tyrannical leader of the Decepticons - Megatron. Could this be our long awaited V2 of the big bad in Masterpiece form? Or another 3rd Party version? Time will tell, the same expo which revealed MP Shockwave and Hot Rod last year is coming up soon.

I hope it's an official MP. Megatron is one character I will shell out the money for.
|
Same. I’m pretty much over G1 MP’s, especially with BW MP’s kicking off, but I need Megatron to face off against Prime. That’s not an option, it’s a necessity.
|
Id like to see a Galvatron one day, but other than that yeah I'm pretty uninterested in G1 after him and a new Megs as well (American G1 anyway, some Masterforce/Victory figures are always welcome).
I wish that the Armada Prime that was in the poll Star Saber won could have happened. Would love to see how that would turn out. |
I haven't been super impressed with the last few G1 Masterpiece releases, but I still hold out hope for a Kup to pair up with Hot Rod.
|
I hope it's a new MP Megatron. The first one made too many sacrifices to the robot mode to make the gun mode look better.

Probably never gonna happen but it'd still be cool. |

Megatron as a gun is a stupid, STUPID concept. It makes no sense even in-universe and it's extremely limiting as far as merchandise goes.

This guy: http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/..._smirkiest.jpg Ofcourse in G1 he's a gun because the toy he's based on is a gun |
There's an official Shatter Glass Optimus coming out in December! Who would have thunk it?

I like the Shattered Glass deco and the mold but I don’t need another one. If it came without the trailer maybe, but as is the money will go towards Megatron instead. If he’s real.
|
Feel a third party company would have claimed ownership of this prototype by now if it was theirs.
Really looking like Takara's and has me pretty excited. Skip over a lot of MPs that a part of me would like, but Megatron's one I absolutely could not pass on. And I feel he looks pretty good. |

Beachcomber as a hipster. Yay or nay?
|
Wasn't he already?
|
He felt more like a nature enthusiast than a hipster though that's the thing.
|
Alrighty. Then I guess since I already pictured him as such, it wouldn't be a radical change for him in my eyes.

Mr.Hasbro! Make this a reality! |
Huh, Takara is reissuing a few of the old Bay movie figures with some new cool stuff added to some early next year.
Which means: Help me; I’m actually tempted to buy some, even though I fucking hate these movies. |
Yeah, I'm sorely tempted by the leader Prime.

Hey me too on that exact one.. It comes with a nice mix of accessories from their previous special editions too.
Uh. Wait weren't we supposed to talk ourselves out of it? |

I did own that Leader Optimus. He is very accurate to the on-screen appearance (at least for the first 3 films) but incredibly hard to transform. It takes pain-staking precision to line everything up correctly and there's some very VERY fragile pegs in his chest that can break without much effort.
|
I had enough trouble with the first movie Optimus, so I probably wouldn't even try with one that's even harder :p
|
If you want something that looks like Movieverse Optimus & aren't too bothered by scale, then your best bet is still probably "Battle Blade" Optimus from the 2nd film.

Kinda wish they had masterpiece powermasters at the moment.
