Actually, my thought was still along the same lines. I thought it was weird that they used the card from the movie for a seemingly completely different purpose, especially when it seems to me like it could have been so easy to print an originally designed one. On top of that, it just didn't match the other Ace cards and was clearly from a different deck. Which begged the question: where are the other cards? Something obviously felt incomplete. (And I mean within the context of the series itself, ignoring the movie.) |

Also, some people genuinely enjoy this element of the show. The constant form changes could be part of the fun. I confess that as a viewer it's kind of like watching a magic trick: I'm really impressed when they're able to either make the gimmicks part of the fun or write a story that I enjoy anyway. It doesn't look like an easy task. Does Ghost look thunderingly heavy on the gimmicks? Okay, yeah, it does. Gaim with W's gadgets. Will the show suffer as a result? I wouldn't make that assumption at all. |
From Logic Kamen Rider on FB. I got a good chuckle out of it.

That's obviously the Ghostriker toy Photoshopped into the Ghost picture there. Not sure what's going on with Tridoron either.

Even Agito had 4 different riders, several alternate forms between the 3 main ones, a wide assortment of different weapons and a transforming bike. Not even including the usual henshin device. Kamen Rider has been designed to sell toys for as long as I can remember, it's just that some shows are more subtle about it than others. That doesn't necessarily mean that the shows themselves are bad though. You have to also remember that this show is 100% for kids, and kids love seeing all of the different alternate forms and collectibles. Just be glad Kamen Rider is mature enough to not insult their intelligence like many American kids shows. |

So apparently, that blue faded out form from earlier isn't a form, but is Spectre. And he'll be using Nobunaga and King Tut, hence why they come together in a set. Also, some closer and less solid pictures of Tut and Beethoven where you can kind of make out the faces. Closer looks at the Eyecons too, showing that Nobunaga will be using a flintlock and Billy the Kid will be using a revolver?

One thing I like is that Ghost and Spectre are still subtly following the old beetle brothers motif. This is what, the fourth series with that? Either way, I like it.
|
And now for the rest of the news. Spectre's weapon will be.....an extended hand. Not kidding. But done in a really well way. Also, a picture showing how not only the Eyecons work but also the Driver.

Yeah they do have the horns like that. Also from the pics it looks like that Spectre is getting Nobunaga because it's next to him and has the Two Horns in the silhouette. I am excited for Spectre.
It seems like Beethoven is going to be used by Ghost though. Interesting that Spectre seems to be getting the Ruler types while Ghost is getting the Heroes and other types. |
Another thing I didn't notice until today is that Newton's left glove has a ring. So his boxing gloves really are planets. That's awesome. Everything about Newton is great so far.

I'm kind of conflicted about the Ghost designs.
I was super excited about the Ore Damashii form when I first saw it as a drawing, but seeing it realized in three dimensions... the design is starting to fall apart. The jacket over the body armor looks clunky and awkward. I think if they'd gone with a more streamlined approach to the body armor, more like Wizard, it would look a lot more polished. I will say the Newton and Edison forms look better than the base form because the jackets have more volume. They don't look quite as flimsy over the armor. Obviously all official judgments are reserved until I see the thing in motion. But there's something that's not clicking with the design for me, despite how visually compelling it was on paper. |
Yeah. I was head over heels over this design when we saw that first comic, but while I'm still mostly enjoying the design, three dimensions has got me picking myself back up a little bit.
I just don't understand the chest piece being translucent. Being clear of all things makes it really feel like cheap plastic instead of body armor. It just doesn't look right or match the rest of the suit. I think maybe the bottoms of the feet have a similar thing going on, but that detail is hidden most of the time. The concept is okay; it gives him kind of a transparent ghostly look. I just wish there was more of that kind of thing on the arms and legs. Can't wait to see it in motion myself, because I really hope that nagging design choice doesn't end up killing the whole thing for me. |
You know, I was just wondering, why Edison over Tesla? Shouldn't super heroes be using the forms of good people? That just doesn't make any sense to me.
|
Edison is the more recognizable name among children.

Fingers crossed for a Winston Churchill soul! jk :D ;) |
The existence of Robin form makes me want to see a King Arthur form somewhere along the line.

From what I see so far I say Spectre would most likely be the Knight/Kaixa/Ixa/Accel/Goto Birth/Meteor type. |

A bigger, more clear picture of Spectre. Is it me, or does he have the heart rate monitor blip as the design on his suit?

One other thing is judging by the silhouette color Spectre is most likely blue which is a polar opposite to orange on the color wheel. |

I also like the subtle allusions to him being the secondary Rider, such as the 2 horns as opposed to Ghost's 1 horn, or Ghost having the single triangle collar design versus Spectre's double triangle collar design.

re post in the right thread.
Here is Ghost slightly pixel blurry, but well enough to see his entire suit http://i.imgur.com/9YuBrvZ.jpg Source - http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20...h-ent.view-000 (Yahoo Japan) Also translated from KAmenRiderGhost Tumblr Yahoo Japan has posted an article on the announcement of Kamen Rider Ghost. The article states that Ghost will be officially unveiled on the 31st. With a unique, never-before-seen ghost/haunted theme, Kamen Rider Ghost will premiere on October 4th. Themes such as “the secret to becoming a hero” and “accepting the feelings of great men” will also be present in the series. __________________ |

let's just hope his powers and weapons don't come at a whim.

The belt is a bit bulkier than I like, but on the whole I'm digging it.

Looks a bit bulkier compared to previous Riders....dunno if that's a good thing.

The ghost that doesn't try hiding!
I don't think his powers will come at a whim. More like a whoooo. WHOOOO! |
Alright. The glossiness of the leg panels is warming me up to the chest situation. Still need to see it in motion. I think it's weird that functionally the belt seems so simple, but it looks almost as bulky as the Fourze Driver.
