Looks like a larger, more detailed Figure-Rise kit with a similar "Master Grade" moniker from Gunpla. Includes pre-painted parts!

I take it they'll also be MG Gunpla scale? If so that's neat, but a nogo for me.

It's a redo of the old 1/8 scale MG Figurerise model from 2010.

The biggest feature they're pushing is that the whole thing is already painted on the runners.

Yeah, the price is quite a hard pill to swallow. For the same price you could get a MG FAZZ Gundam and I feel it'd have more bang for your back for the engineering alone.

Hopefully this is a new mold with proper under-gating to accommodate the pre-painted runner.

Yeah, not impressed. If it was somewhat like FRS Decade where they improved the molds by further dividing up the parts by color(especially the gold and purple trims in all their intricacy) I would be impressed but yeah, this just feels like stuff that got recalled and repackaged with the paint job done and make a big deal about it to be honest.

My thoughts exactly, it's ridiculous. I am disappointed and kinda mad at how lazy it feels. It's like they finished painting the backside of SHODO and RKF figures and then selling it at double the price.

What really gets me is that a big draw of Figure-Rise for a lot of people - at least from what I've seen - is the low price and availability. Compared to paying 6000 Yen (at best) for a second-hand SHF of a main rider you might not even care about and having to do it within the month, you can just wait till next payday to pay half that for the same character and get a fun build to boot. There are a few Premium Bandai releases but they're all recolours rather than their own unique things, and more or less seen as extras.

So. I have no idea how this is supposed to appeal to that market.

Yeah, I can't help but think that this is an attempt at trying to get rid of stockpiled old inventory.

Damn, I've got the old MG Skull, and even with some pre-painted parts, it's not a ¥11000 model kit.

Oh this is REALLY good news!!! I was worried about what Dragredder would do to Ryuki's price, but 4730 Yen? That's only about 1000 yen more than normal, before pre-order discounts!! Pay 10$ more than usual to get an entire f*cking dragon! This line is awesome, man...

Ryuki looks good! I suppose they are sticking with the single join elbows now.

Slightly higher price no doubt due to Dragreder. Speculation about weapons was pretty spot on here.

Also Ryuki is such a clean and simple design, I imagine the only stickers needed for his body are the gold details on his helmet. His toys usually do a good job at getting all the paint applications.

That image of the faceplate does lay it pretty clear that the yellow 'whiskers' are stickers; I'm gonna imagine the gem on the top of the head is too, as well as the normal eyes. It's also difficult to imagine the Dragvisor won't have a bunch of stickers.

Yeah thats my thought too, and I wasn't including Dragvisor when I said body (even though it should be), but that will definitely have a bunch of stickers.

This is great! I bet most of the stickers are on Dragredder tho. Excited for a Ryuga release, though!

The deck may be molded in black plastic but a giant sticker may end up covering it, just like on the Faiz phone

I also have a feeling the black panels, white accents, and gold trim on Draggeder might be stickers as well

Maybe pose Ryuki in his final vent pose(the pose that he does right before he jumps up) and coil Dragreder around him, that should save some space.

Yeah, that's basically what I'm planning to do. You also don't have to build him! There might also be some people who'd be interested in just buying Dragreder off you for their Figma or 20RK SHF Ryuki.

Just pre-ordered from nin-nin game. With the cheapest shipping it ended up being 55 bucks (around 85 for fastest) , which isn't horrible... But I wish it were a little cheaper. I love that they're adding more to these kits, but a part of me would have been happier without dragraeder at a cheaper price. It worries me that future releases are going to hike up in price and it's not going to be any cheaper than getting a figuarts.

It is literally just for Dragreder though, and it's only about 10$ more than usual. I know it's easy to get scared at a price increase like that, but they're only going to do it for others if they include anything as insane as a whole Dragon; and aside from the inevitable Premium Bandai Ryuga I can't think of anything like that for the others as I doubt we're getting a Tridoron or Captain Ghost.

I also think this is something that will be easily available on amazon.com. The Figure-Rise Standard kits have done a decent job at reaching regular retail availability, even if a bit late. For example, Kuuga and Hibiki can be found on amazon.com for $37 each- quite close to what most people would have paid to have them imported.

I'd skip Amazon completely and go to BBTS if you're in America. Constantly have them at retail price and even somehow sell exclusives for the same price too!

Somewhat out there request: does anyone have both FRS W and SIC W, or heck; any FRS and SIC of the same size? I'm really curious to see a height comparison considering how much larger FRS is compared to the original SHFs.

Who would you guys say I should choose for my next FRS? I'm having a hard time choosing between Build and W, but I'm also considering Decade. Any thoughts on these or any others?

What's your reasoning for each? They your favourites?

I'll always take the opportunity to stump for the W kit. I think it's just a real fun process, putting that one together. A great balance between complexity and ease. Plus, there's the added play factor of the LunaTrigger and HeatMetal kits if you feel like expanding your collection.
