I mean, teeechnically; Timeranger was the Sentai show airing in January 2001…

Looks as if we now have actual toy-images of ZenkaiOh SuperJuran and Super TwokaiOh. They "waste" a couple of pieces, though they could be included somehow. And Super TwokaiOh's Faceplate looks sort of like GoZyuJin from Gokaiger. It has Gokai Silver's Anchor Motif and is in Silver. Meanwhile, I don't see the connection points for ZenkaiOh VrooX's right Leg "wheels" on Super Zenkaizer's "Halfbody" (Bringing out some Kamen Rider Build Terms) Formation. Looks as if ZenkaiOh SuperVroon won't be made with Super Zenkaizer. |
I guess I can safely say that Zenkaiger is a success regardless of how much money it makes because they made robots cool again.
|
That's gonna hurt for Kaito having all of his body parts bent while fusing with Juran.

I feel like the super armor probably expands into a full zord for a human ranger since the kikainoids seem to just grow and turn into transformers. Sentai is slightly the more realistic take on tokusatsu generally or at least as realistic as tokusatsu gets.

For those who haven’t seen the episode, our first look at ZenKaijuOh https://youtube.com/watch?v=RP-7aV2A3NU
|
Can anyone translate Zox's reaction to being an SD?
Also, I love how the finisher is just both of them as giant rangers |
I've been thinking, that if ever they're was the possibility Stacey gets a power-up, I reckon it'll be TopGaler inspired, just to complete the trio of deceased 6th ranger mechas, plus it would go with his character on how he was an evil ranger for most of the run.

Hmm, I wonder. So, we know that the final thing that will be released in Q4 of Zenkaiger is the Zenryoku Zenkai Cannon. It is reported to have a spaceship or some other craft mode, a Cannon Mode, a Robot Mode, I think, and, of course, the Combined mode. So, hmm. Here is some speculation on my part. It will sound like I'm describing the Mecha or I'm a Leaker, but this is pure speculation.
So, I think that the Spaceship mode might take inspiration from the Variblune, the Varidorin, and/or Sky Ace, considering that Zenkaiser is based upon both Akarenger/Akaranger and Big One. Meanwhile, its cannon mode would be based upon a gun similar to the Geartlinger/ Geardalinger/Geartozinger which can plug into the Geartlinger, sort of like Lupinranger vs Patranger's Lupin Magnum. In the separate Robot Mode, if it has one, I think it might resemble DaiDenzin/ Denzi Fighter from Denshi Sentai Denziman, the First Mecha that transformed into a Robo, and/or the Taiyo Gattai Sun Vulcan Robo from Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan, the first Robo that is a combination of multiple Mecha, Cosmo Vulcan and Bull Vulcan. In the combined "ZenkaiOh" mode, the Left from the ZenkaiOh mode side of the helmet would have a bird head, like part of the Variblune/Varidorin, sticking up to mirror the Dragon Caesar Part on the Right Side of ZenkaiOh Superxxxxx. In its Mecha Form, it would serve as a ship for the Kikainoid Zenkaigers (Juran, Gaon, Magine, and Vroon) and combines their powers. When combined into the ZenkaiOh-styled form, it would give the Zenkaigers the traditional Cockpit design of multiple Sentai Members sitting in a single cockpit. Now, there could be something a bit special about this Cannon. Possibly, it could allow for the Cluster Combination. You know, the used-to-be signature final combination of all the Mecha. The Revolver Tenrai Senpuujin, the Ultimate Daibouken, the SaiDaiGekiRinTohja, the Engine-O G12, the Kyoryu SamuraiHaOh, the ToQ Rainbow, the HaOh Shurikenjin. That. Note: What I just described is total speculation. It may be true, it may be false. Who knows? I don't. |

What’s a good appropriate PR title for Zenkaiger?
Anything since “Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers”. |

“Mighty Morphin Mecha Rangers”? Due to the Rangers being machines? |

If JJ is the White Ranger, I think it would be cool to see an appearance from Lord Drakkon as well! Maybe Stacaesar could be an alternate JJ from that universe! |

Power Rangers Revolution seems to fit. The names of the Rangers and Stacaesar? Zenkaizer: ? Zenkai Juran: ? Zenkai Gaon: ? Zenkai Magine: ? Zenkai Vroon: ? Twokaizer: ? - TwokaiRicky: ? - TwokaiCutanner: ? Stacaeser: ? |

Zenkaizer: Super Mecha Ranger Zenkai Juran: Dino Mecha Ranger Zenkai Gaon: Wild Mecha Ranger Zenkai Magine: Titan Mecha Ranger Zenkai Vroon: Drivemax Mecha Ranger Twokaizer: Legendary Mecha Ranger Stacaeser: Dark Mecha Ranger I can't think of anything unique for Ricky and Cuttanar but maybe their names already work. |

Though, I say that the combination could be where JuranTyranno and GaonLion become the arms, and MagineDragon and VroonDump becoming the legs. Meanwhile, the torso would be based upon a combination of Super Zenkaizer, CrocoDaiOh, and the Zenryoku Zenkai Cannon. I say that TwokaiRicky and TwokaiCuttanner would become Weaponry. Meanwhile, Super Twokaizer SD could be stored in the slot within CrocoDaiOh that the SD. Also, I suspect that there is more going to come out. Because at this moment in time, it suspiciously has low amounts of DX Roleplay toys. There is the Zenkai Buckle, the Twokai Buckle, the Geartlinger, the Geartozinger, the Geardalinger, and the Zenkaijuu Gear. Normally, by this time, we would have at least a couple things more for when it comes to the Roleplay Toys. I'm a bit surprised that we don't have DX Versions of the Kikainoid Weapons, like the Juran Sword and Juran Shield, the Gaon Claw, the Magine Stick, or the Vroon Picker. How many kids would want to roleplay as the Kikainoids? Probably a lot. Meanwhile, there would appear to be no "Movie-Exclusive Mecha", like OtomoNin Dinomaru from Ninninger, the Cerberus Voyager from Kyuranger, the Ressha Gattai SafariGaOh, etc. Also, there would be a lack of DX Battle Caesar Robo (II). |

Though, I have just noticed something about the Kikainoid Zenkaigers in their DX Mecha forms The DX Mecha have some of the pieces removed in the box. For the JuraGaon set, they have the Arms Packed Separately. And for the VrooMagine Set, the Wheels, Wings, and Chestplates (the ones which have the symbols that represent the different parts) are Separate. I know it's likely nothing but just the fact that the packaging didn't allow for it, but I suspect there will be something with those parts. Also, I think I see a Kaiju Face in the Right Side Chest Section. The Zyuranger Z appears to also have a Kaiju Face on it. I am not quite sure, though. |

As for naming conventions...."Power Rangers Mecha Revolution"!? (Hypothetical) Backstory: The Legendary Rangers have had their link to the Morphin' Grid severed by mechanical villains who are descendant of the Machine Empire. Even worse, numerous Megazords have been duplicated to conquer the Earth. A valiant space pirate tries to stop them, only to contend with androids sent to destroy him. It's only after an unknown Ranger from the future arrives in the present that the androids develop emotions and defect to the side of Good. Using specialized gear developed from old Megazord data, the androids are able to Morph into new mechanized forms and revolt against their creators. The Mecha Revolution has begun! The idea of making Tojitendo into descendants of the Machine Empire relates to the (as yet) unconfirmed fates of Gasket and Archerina and how Archerina's (as yet) unseen father was described as Mondo's rival. Gege, Ijirude, and Stacaesar are all perfectly usable, but I have doubts about Bokkowaus and Barashitara. I know that eventually, those two will have large final battles with the Zenkaiger and that's the most important part. Those battles will still make them usable, but in a substantially reduced capacity. It would also be good to have Non-Empire villains make appearances, like Professor Cog and Scrozzle. It keeps the thematic elements of mechanical villains and helps broaden the multiversal aspects of an Anniversary Season. One thing that has always scared me about Sentai Anniversary Seasons are the older Sentai. Battle Fever J, Denziman, and Sun Vulcan were produced with Marvel copyrights and I'm unclear if those copyrights are still relevant to this day. If they are, then Marvel could rule against their usage or ask too much in permitting their usage. As such, Battle Fever Robo, DaiDenzin, and Sun Vulcan Robo would have to be excised for that reason! A very rough reorganization would have to be done in order to replace them and still keep the numbers in that case. Movie Ninja Megazord, "Beyond The Grid" Solar Megazord, and Hyperforce Megazord could easily be implanted to serve as replacements if it came to that. If Movie Ninja Megazord is untenable due to a rights issue or because it's not well-received by fans, then the 2017 Movie Megazord could replace it instead. Since I don't have good ideas for Ranger Designation Names yet, the best way to the end this for me is to have a discussion about the Geartlinger and Geardalinger! It goes without saying that any toy adaptation would lead to orange capping and that would just ruin the design flow! To accommodate that and the fact that I've already dreamed-up a story which naturally necessitates reshoots, weapon replacement is a must! A newer blaster which already has an orange barrel on-screen and therefore would not suffer the indignity of an added color when produced as a toy. As to the Geardalinger, it has a small barrel when used as a gun, but it would still have to be orange capped, making it a candidate for replacement as well. That doesn't mean that it can't still be used as inspiration in some capacity. I've considered a new cockpit for (Adaptation) TwoKaiOh in which the controls look precisely like the wheel for the Geardalinger, so as to nod its existence. What about Geartozinger, you ask? Haven't decided whether to leave it as is or modify/replace it as well. What about the time the team made the Geartlinger enlarge and used it as a cannon to blast older Sentai Mecha summoned by Stacaesar, you ask? Since it is the giant-sized versions of the team performing that attack, have a reshoot in which they summon the Mighty Morphin' Power Cannon or the Zeo Cannon instead! You don't actually have to re-produce a role play item for either since it would be a one-off homage, though you could re-produce a weapon accessory for the small figures or the DX figures to hold! That's my take on adapting Zenkaiger for P.R. at the moment! |
I think they'll excuse away the numbers somehow. Maybe have it be part of their names? Or just ignore it completely, that seems kinda on point for PR

Personally I can see them skipping Zenkaiger and just do Kiramager. And I want that more to be honest. Way easy to adapt than Zenkaiger as well. The last thing I need is Super Megaforce Electric Boogaloo. Kiramager's suits and robots are all good designs and honestly the narrative is strictly dependent on how well the Power Rangers writers do well. This ain't the"Neo-Saban" era anymore so there is also that.
|
From what it sounds like, they might NOT do anymore Super Sentai adaptations.
|
What will they do with Power Rangers going forward with no Sentai adaptations?

If we are not gonna get the good ol sentai footage show, they should just do a big reboot Battlestar Galactica style.

Battlestar Galactica is a show from the 70s that kinda went dormant then it was fully rebooted in 2004. It wasn't a sequel or a remake, just a full on reboot of the franchise. The success of the reboot is evident in how many people don't even realize it was a series in the 70s.
I don't think Power Rangers has been dormant long enough for that type of reboot. And we already got that Power Rangers movie from 2017. The association with kids and toys likely means it will continue to mostly serve its purpose as a merch seller. Funny enough, the original Battlestar Galactica also began as a way to sell toys- sci-fi spaceships, figures, and robots to capitalize on the success of Star Wars at the time. |
