Also, has anyone considered that due to the fact that Wanda is "no longer a mutant" thanks to AXIS, that she technically committed a hate crime when she pulled that "No More Mutants" nonsense?

Because if the Avengers still defend her after someone in the comics brings that up, I am done with Cap and his ilk.

Considering she was mentally ill at the time,didn't intentionally kill anyone and has tried to make up for it since I don't see why it's still worth condemning her over.

And it's not like the X-Men exactly have the moral high ground ether.

I know the X-Men are no saints, what I have a problem is the double standard treatment the X-Men get in comparison the Avenger's senior teammate.

Questioning the need for a race she nearly destroyed, regardless of her previous mental condition after a comment like this, doesn't seem like she's trying to make up anything. Rogue may be glossing over Cyclops' not always noble actions, but Wanda started the ball that brought Cyclops tumbling down hill, so putting it all on him when he was equally possessed is horseshit (and out of the Phoenix Five, he held the most restraint until the end (Emma burnt Hawkeye, Namor tried to drown Wakanda, and the Rasputin siblings held Avengers captive in a Volcanno. Cyclops didn't stop them physically, but he didn't engage or approve of most of that, and they typically did it behind his back))

I'd agree with you on the matter that she didn't intentionally kill anyone, if not for her selfish jab at her former dad resulting in an innocent kid suddenly drowning...

And then of course there are the innoncent people who get hurt alongside the recently depowered mutants, who maybe can't contain the explosion that occurs when their volatile power goes out.

Cyclops kills one man while not in full control, he's a pariah. The Hulk causes rampages (whether you believe the retcons that no innocents were ever killed is up to you) and his closest friends banish him to space. Wanda gets untold thousands of innocent, sometimes harmless mutants like neck-lady up above killed or crippled like Chamber, and she's let back on her team and Vision's seen as a dick for being pissed that he was blown up.

If we're not going to condemn Wanda, then the hypocritical hatred on Scott should take a pause as well, especially since Beast pulled similar shit in Black Vortex recently (where he attacked a Kree homeworld for standing against him), but since that takes place before Hickman's little timeskip, clearly the Illuminati and Avengers are still more welcoming of him for doing the exact same shit than they are of Cyclops, who just has to be the bad guy.

Which Iron man proceeded to shoot with a big honkin' space gun, splitting the Phoenix into 5 pieces and those 5 pieces just choosing to possess Scott, Emma, Piotr, Illyanna, and Namor.

I know it's popular now to treat the Phoenix as this awful force of destruction, but why does everyone forget that when it first showed up, it saved the entire freakin' universe from the M'kraan Crystal? Or that Rachel used it for years and never blew up a planet or unintentionally hurt her teammates? Or that when it actually possessed Jean years later (they retconned the M'kraan Crystal/Dark Phoenix Saga into being solely the Phoenix's doing, but whatever), she had complete control and didn't risk any of her teammates or fellow planet's residents' lives?

The mutant Hope was being trained to control the Phoenix, as she has some bullshit connection to it due to looking like and having similar powers to Jean Grey. It wasn't that dumb of Cyclops to think that the X-men, who have more experience with this entity than the Avengers, could use its power to bring back Mutant-kind.

Especially Fantastic Four considering the new movie is FF in name only.
