I re-watch the second Silent Mobius movie and I think it's just as good as the first movie, if not better. I like more of the backstory of the characters that we got. Not much else for me to say other than it's great. I recommended to watch the movies and read the manga of Silent Mobius. I will probably re-watch the TV show soon.
I also started to watch KonoSuba and I'm at episode 3. The show has some funny jokes, but everything else feels meh so far. I hope it gets better as time goes on. |
Death note Netflix film. Good for people who have not read or heard of the show or manga. Is good to give them a gernal idea what death note is. Character L started like L but started to go backwards and act more like light. Mia had light personality more then light did. Light acted less like light but by the end ended up like light. Ryuk was awful Defoe could of played him well if directing and writting was better but they gave ryuk power of killing or was one causing the causes of death. What was out of character. So my finally thoughts watch the Japanese live action film and or the anime. Due to Netflix film bad. Also don't think Mia is ment to be misa as light did have another girl friend before misa and feel like Mia was her not misa.

Soo I finished Another last night, watched episodes 3 to 12 in one go. And while I did enjoy watching it, the way things are fixed kinda bug me and now that I am thinking of things over make me question if I even liked the show now.
So why not make some enemies of any fans on here by saying what I had problems with. Ok lets first start of with who was the extra person was. Now I did try to make guess as I am sure others did. Which student could it be? Was it blonde guy? The art guy who I can see being a trap? Pigtails bit of a bitch? Her sidekick girl with short hair and glasses? Was it our main duo? NOPE! It was the main character's aunt who was the assistant homeroom teacher! I get the small tiny as hints but BULLSHIT! The entire show has shown that every year the calamity happened it was a student who was the extra one for over twenty years! I doubt anybody was gonna guess right when it has been shown it was always a fucking student but nope this year's calamity it was a teacher because why not. Ok that was one now here is the other which I guess would be a minor complaint. Why did eye patch girl not tell the others that the calamity started in April with her secret twin sister? I know it might not do much and others probably wont believe her with how the last two episodes went, but still it might of helped save a couple more lives. Quote:

Chugging along with Knight's and Magic which is good. I just love the process the protagonist goes through building robots.

Finishing up on watching Perfect Blue via KissAnime. It's a pretty solid movie, very well done indeed. Even my brother, who doesn't watch or even care about anime all that much outside of a couple of Hayao Miyazaki films, thought it is a pretty good movie and he saw this years ago.
|
Perfect Blue is one of my favorite anime movies. I highly recommended to check out the director's other work too like Tokyo Godfathers and Millennium Actress.
|
I never could like Perfect Blue though it is probably in the genre that is not suited for me. But Tokyo Godfathers is a must watch.
|
After years of wait I decided to go back to watching Project Arms.

Remove over half the deaths so that very few people actually die (5 at most would be good), make the extra person less of a "No Luke, Chewbacca is your father" twist, and have them turn over the solution to the school administration so that they can actually prevent this shit in the future. |

So with all the buzz about Death Note lately I decided to actually sit down and watch the anime. So far it has been absolute fantastic, even if some of the charters have been... annoying with the things they do. Still it's been phenomenal overall, and I can't wait to finish it this weekend.

Update on Death Note. The wife and I got to the point where L Dies and his knockoffs are introduced. I gotta say I am really not liking them. At all. Just, ugh, this might end up killing my enjoyment of the show.

But yeah, that sounds really dumb. |

And it was reaaaaally dumb choice they made. One is practically a carbon copy of the person he's replacing. The other is considerably more interesting but, of course, that's not the one who's being focused on. :T |

Also, I'm starting Dragon Ball Kai. I've been missing out honestly, 5 episodes in and I'm hooked |

You are probably not going to be happy when it ends.
I remember when the dub aired on adult swim the last episode sucked hard for me because my favorite character Light dies and it aired on my birthday. That kept me from watching liking the show for a long time. It would of been interesting if B was part of the story. |

They also didn't even bother giving the show its One Year Later epilogue chapter. |
Welp! Finished Death Note and yeah that ending sucked. I'd still say that I liked the anime overall, despite the back half being kinda crap, it still had some good things in it. Now I need to find something else to watch.

Been a while since I've posted here so a bit of an update I guess.
I was watching Trigun when I last posted but I guess I never mentioned it, but yeah, I watched Trigun. It took me a bit to get into it but by the end it had captured my attention for a while. Really strong show. Finished Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu. I have some slight mixed feelings about the revelations in the ending but on the whole it was a really great series. Downloaded the second of Gakkatsu! and watched it. I'd had it on hold for the past few years since only the first two episodes were subbed, but I'm comfortable enough with my understanding of Japanese by now that I felt it was about time to get back to it. It turned out that it came with captions, which made my life much easier. All in all, pretty fun. Second Season of Owarimonogatari aired, so that was pretty good. I also rewatched Karen Bee after reading the first volume of Nise. Enjoyed it more than the first time some three years ago, that's for sure. Not as much as I enjoyed the book, but still. Watched through Kemono Friends, enjoyed that a lot. And I'm like, two episodes into Jigoku Shoujo. Not...really that into it at the moment? I mean, it's ok, but I'm not really enraptured or anything. Unless that changes by the time I finish I doubt I'll be moving on to the other seasons, but well, it's two episodes. Not that much to judge on I suppose. Far as airing stuff goes, I've been enjoying everything I'm watching, which is a good feeling to have. Centaur no Nayami in particular has continued to surpass my very low expectations week by week. It's still not an objectively very well crafted series, but the fact that they understand the themes of the manga and what makes it good shines through extremely clearly, and that means a lot to me. They've gone beyond what I ever expected them to do, like, I never ever expected them to touch on the Holocaust chapter, yet there it was. They have not neglected the worldbuilding aspect of the series in any regard (well, almost any, they have understandably cut down the chapters focused on television, which i get, but also regret), so while I'm not necessarily impressed with the show on a strict technical basis I really appreciate it as a faithful adaptation. Mahoujin GuruGuru is also really fun. And...I think that's it for now. Not everything I'm watching, but everything for now. |

The first half of the anime is golden, but because of that the movies will always be my preferred version of Death Note. |
I really don't understand the hate Near and Mello receive. They brought in an interesting dynamic and they each had their own different personalities and methods to catching Kira, but it took both of them to do what L could not.
|
I didn't find their dynamic or characters that interesting at all. In fact it's only at the very end when they realise they had to do it together that they became remotely interesting as characters.
And by that point one of them's dead. |

The Japanese Live Action movies of Death Note are not bad in my opinion. If you like Toku, the director behind the 90's Gamera movies and GMK did direct the first two Death Note live action movies in Japan.

I think I'm the only one here who liked how Death Note ended. :lol

I thought it was fitting how Light's own arrogance was what ultimately did him in |

I liked the way the manga did that better though. Yeah, he still whined like a bitch, but he took it more like a man in the manga compared to the anime where he ran off in tears to die pathetically. |
