Ancient Power isn't one of Swinub's egg moves. You have to get it through Move Relearner as a Piloswine.

Should I chain-breed Freeze-Dry into a Swinub to cover the 2x Water Weakness?

Moves change (Nosepass had Head Smash as an egg move, but had no breeding partners who could learn it, so the move was completely removed from Nosepass's move list, for example)

For Freeze-Dry, I don't recommend it unless you run a mixed set on Mamoswine.

Yep. Mamoswine has 130 physical attack, 70 special. With Freeze-Dry being a special attack, you'd have to be running a mixed set to pull it off.

And given the difference between those two stats, physical attack is the way to go

In light of recent information, Brynhildr the Mamoswine not Stealth Rock since Stealth Rock is unlearnable in Gen6.

Technically, you can give it Stealth Rocks but in order to do so you need a smeargle (that has stealth rocks and icicle crash (if you want icicle crash)) and a female Swinub/Piloswine .

Mamoswine can totally learn Stealth Rock.

And oddly enough it may or may not totally be the Pokémon I've been working on breeding with its hidden ability and three different egg moves that I just successfully did... Nope, totally don't want to trust me on that one...

So many ghosts, so many to train other than the current chuckleheads Gengar and Aegislash...

How good is Yanmega?

Decent. Stealth Rock wrecks it, but Tinted Lens is a great ability and it has the stats to use it.

Gonna go back to hunting my shiny Furfrou now, i'm trying to think of a good nickname for it.

Ice Beam wrecks Garchomp, doesn't stop folks from using it! :lol

So what about Speed Boost Yanmega?

The difference is that you can't use Ice Beam 10 turns before Garchomp comes out and still have it hit.

It's fine, but I think Tinted Lens is the better ability. Yanmega benefits from Speed Boost, but it just never struck me as necessary.

Given how prevalent Fire type moves are plus stealth rock I have to agree with Matrix

I know who I want to do next and that one's going to require some help with trading to evolve. But of COURSE it's yet another that requires a move tutor move from Gen 5 if I want the "ideal" set (literally not finding any recommendations without this move). I guess I'll find some substitute...

Considering it resets whenever i put it in the PC i guess i'll just rotate between forms.

I'm not usually one to obsess over IVs... But when I happen to have a Pokémon I received in a Wonder Trade that I know has 3 perfect IVs in ideal stats, I figure it's worth a shot. Especially when you have the magical Destiny Knot.

But when those IVs keep showing up as 0 according to the stats judge on your bred Pokémon? It can lead to considerable frustration.

Needless to say, teammate #6 isn't progressing well.

Do stats max out at 252? Do I need to keep track in Super Training Level 3 Speed for my Swinub?
