20th Century Boys is a must-read manga. May have its flaws depending on the person, but I still think it was one of his best. However, URASAWA'S BEST WORK EVER would probably be YAWARA, since it was what made him a star. Also got the anime treatment as well back in the days.

I survived my first week in grad school. Though I got a cold so my energy levels are low. I hate being sick on my first week of school.

I didn't wake up until 2 PM today because I forgot to set my alarm. Not like I could do anything anyway because of the snow.

The snow sucks. My area just got hit with wind and cold temperatures. But last Friday I couldn't go anywhere due to the windchill (-40 degrees F), and I was also sick with the flu that day.

If you wanna make it a Muto marathon, might I suggest giving the Crows: Zero movies starring Shun Oguri and Takayuki Yamada a watch, followed by the 2007 Hana Kimi TV drama starring Maki Horikita (which I didn't know he took part in until as of this post, and btw, at least two-thirds of the actors who played are or went on to become toku alumni) and then finally, Muto's first claim to fame, the Densha Otoko TV drama. BTW, here are the notable toku alumnis from the 2007 Hana Kimi show that I could remember off the top of my head.

Oh, Crows is a fantastic film series. And in my head-canon, Gentaro Kusaragi was kicked out of Suzuran for being too friendly (his uniform is clearly from there).
By the way, if we're talking about films for tokusatsu fans, I can recommend "Saikou no Seito: Yomei Ichinen no Last Dance." Because it features:

But yeah, Crows: Zero was decent. I haven't followed the actual Crows or Worst mangas in-depth, skimmed through a few tankobons, but very standard Japanese school delinquent stuff. Oguri and Yamada's 1 on 1 fight scene was well-choreo'd. :rock:

Back to job searching... Temporary position teaching is over, so now I'm in my perpetual quest for a career. On the plus side, at least my money troubles can be set aside for a while.

I started playing Trails in the Sky (the old one, not the remake) and, hilarious acronym aside, I'm really enjoying it. World feels alive, gameplay is fun (it helps that I'm already somewhat familiar with it because Honkai Star Rail copied it's combat system), and the characters arelively. Estelle is a fun character.

Every time someone plays the originals, an angel gets it's wings, I have such strong feelings about the remake's new 'more faithful' translation which is much dryer and simpler. Have you been checking empty chests though? That's a highlight in the sprite based games

I've been looting chests like a maniac lol. I searched all of Rolent broke into all the houses and combed through surrounding areas for chests and readables.

This is my second RPG I've played and, again, I'm having an absolute blast. My first one was Tales of Zestiria which was...okay. I haven't had prior experience with RPGs before that so I didn't dislike it, but Trails in the Sky is a whole different experience. It's like I've been living in Plato's Cave my whole life before I finally see the sunlight outside lol.

Also, again, Estelle is a fun character. As someone told me on Discord, 'Estelle is Bestelle'.

Oh you misunderstood me, the sprite based games have a coding quirk, checking empty chests provides a fun gag

Is it the messages telling me how the chest is empty and snarking at me for checking anyways? I got a couple of those.

That's fair, especially as they're all connected, but the Trails in the Sky trilogy is the starting point of the series, anyone sayingnyou can start a later entry is inevitably setting you up to be confused when old characters return in a sequel of your different starting point. The remakes have diferrent terminology and a worse script but are made with all the current QoL and improvements to gameplay, though the original Sky games are dirtcheap on steam and GOG

We need a new proper build show. The very recent one about the kid from Hawaii was just so cheaply made and short.

I never actually watched any of them...

First show was quite fun, actually. First show had Zenkai Vroom from Zenkaiger as the rival with shades, Stag Buster from Go-Busters as an Italian man with a one-winged Wing Gundam, Yurusen from Ghost was an idol, and Sailor Moon was the protagonist's mom. :lolol
Second show was a years later of it, Third one was a totally different show that felt like .hack from long ago but with Gunpla, and the Fourth show was a sequel to the third one.

So I just discovered the existence of the old luchador movies starring El Santo, Blue Demon, Mil M?scaras, etc. and I'm very excited about this discovery. It seems like Mexico's equivalent of Tokusatsu + wrestling and I love it. Can't wait to watch

I, too, am Ramba Ral age and people usually think I'm around my mid-late 20s. Sometimes I see it, like the other day I took a selfie and looked SO young. But other times I look at myself and feel like Jamie Lee Curtis in Freaky Friday.

Chuck Norris done did get got and the only thing I can think is, "I figured Sorbo would go first."

People think I look like I'm in my early-mid 20s. If I shave I would probably look younger. My body seems to behave more on the younger side too because apparently my tonsils recently grew back.

Tomorrow's the end-of-cour for Shinden Samurai Troopers... I can't wait for the next one to start and I'm not ready for this one to end...
