The real max is 255, but as you only get one stat points for every 4 EVs, to go above 252 is a waste. Fortunately, Super Training won't let you do that and will stop at 252. Regular battling can push you over, which is why I love Super Training even more. (And why I don't understand people who insist on still battling a lot.)

No, you're slightly wrong.
EVs were changed in Gen 6 to max out at 252, not the former 255. So if you take the old fashioned way of raising EVs, it will still max at 252 now, not just Super Training.

I, I just play Pokemon like a 10 year old, no IV's, not grand schemes, just running around with complete abandon nuking things with earthquakes. Not that IV training and the like is wrong, I just don't have the head for it.

I do mess with IVs and stuff.
I just try to play smart.

I don't mess with the IVs... I let wonder trade Pokemon take care of that. The EVs though are another story.
