Decade Complete is truly something else.
He looks like the mascot of a billboard company. He looks like a futuristic cyberpunk football uniform where sponsors can pay to advertise. He looks like ironic streetwear fashion we're gonna see 10 years from now. He looks like the reassurance that AI will never take over because only a human could design something so out there. He looks like a time traveler from the future where Toei ran out of ideas. |
He looks beautiful

Apologies if this has been answered before, but just how bad are the elbow joints on SHF SS Kabuto?
The SS release is a big hole in my Kabuto collection and I've always held off due to the high aftermarket prices and potentially fragile elbows. Now I have an opportunity to get one for an acceptable price. I don't play with SHF figures that much and I would most likely leave this one in the box, but I'd hate to break it. |
Whoever told you that is talking out of his ass. I've owned every variation of the SS Kabuto mold and none of them have had that issue. It is a somewhat common issue with Decade and Diend, but I have genuniely never heard of that being an issue with any of the SS Kabuto mold figures.
I also play with my Figuarts quite a bit. |
Nah, the Kabuto mold is prone to the same problem. If anything, your elbows not cracking in some form means you either lucked out with your quality or have been handling moving the arms very well.
From what I can feel based on my Kabuto, Decade and DiEnd, the problem is that if the elbow joint is too tight, it leaves the whole thing prone to fracture from moving the arm in any way that can put stress on the joint. Like moving the arms outward by pulling on the forearm for example. Heck I handled my Kabuto no differently from my other figuarts and his elbow joint just decided to crack in two on its own between handlings. |
That really sucks. I've never even seen that problem listed on AmiAmi or Mandarake for the Kabuto mold, whereas I can spot quite a few for Decade and Diend.
I've had all my stuff pre-ordered, so it could have something to do with these figures being left in their packaging for too long in bad conditions, especially if they're secondhand. I had this issue with really old Figuarts that were bought secondhand and a little grease/oil got the job done. |

When was Agito Shining released? Before or after the SS? Or was he some sort of anomaly? His proportions and height look nearly identical to SS Agito. |

I'm no stranger to toy repairs or fixes, but for something this expensive, and such a unique part, I just want to know what I'm in for. |

Unless the figure has been in storage under cold conditions for a really long time, I wouldn't worry about it. |
