After moving my laptop back upstairs in to my room I found out my VGA cable was long anuff to connect my tv and laptop so I been watching zyuranger on my tv

So, while Abaranger is treated as a 4 man team with an additional/"6th" ranger, is that the first primarily 4 person team, or is JAKQ considered a 4 man team?
I ask because Big One is often treated as the 5th member, not just additional/"6th" ranger...

If we're going by Gokaiger's classifications, Abaranger is a 4 man team with a "6th Ranger" while JAKQ is a 5 man team.

Funny, you'd think Gekichopper would be a 6th Ranger.

That's why I'm confused :lol

And Gekiranger is a 5 man team, Violet and Chopper are normal members. It's very similar to Go-Onger.

So anybody want to explain why there is a drinking contest in a kid's show (I'm talking about Dairanger episode 12)?

Probably due to less restrictions depicting drinking in Japanese kids' TV.

Ah. Still a bit weird to see it though. Hell, my girlfriend saw it and thinks Sentai is even weirder now :lol

Sentai can be really, really weird. On quick reflection, the weirdest moment for me in Sentai so far was the G3 Princess group in Go-onger.

I think it's the drinking contest for me....for now.

There are plenty of drinking episodes in Sentai. Drinking in kids shows aren't considered as bad of thing in Japan, just like showing blood or cursing.

A few examples of drinking episodes: Fiveman (4), Dairanger (12), Dekaranger (17), Gekiranger (30).

If you only watch one more episode of Sentai in your life, make it Fiveman episode 4. It's insanity is amazing.
