Personally, it's all about the content and the values they are showing. I love Kamen Rider because it promotes empathy and kindness as a valuable trait in heroes. With secular movies, I'm fine with most Disney movies (I'm not so sure about Good Dinosaur because of that weird mushroom eating scene) but secular films like Twilight or Cuties (barf!) which show some, um, questionable values I'm much more suspicious of. What I'm trying to say here is that just because something is secular doesn't mean it's 'bad'. Also, just watching religious programming is fine but I've seen a lot of televangelists that contradict what the Bible says or twist it to their advantage, which I feel is a good reason (not the only reason) why there's so much suspicion towards churches. Also, if any of you are parents or guardians, I advise not imposing too strict of rules on your kids or they'll try to break out when they're older and just run to the other side. Gently reprimand, not harshly scold. I really hope this post doesn't break the rules of Tokunation regarding religious discussion. |

He would be like "Final Fantasy 7 is T rated. You guys can't play that!!" and we would normally ignore him. I still told people at my school not to make fun of him, and we should ignore him instead. Thankfully, we did ignore him, and he would move on to his own thing. |
You know what's funny? Fast & Furious is R rated in my country simply because of the booty shots. Doesn't stop the teens from watching.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not so sure if I'd show Fast and Furious to a 13 year old (a 15 year old maybe) but the reason for the R rating surprises me. EDIT: Okay so here in Australia they classify it as 'M' which means not suitable for under 15. |
Yo guys, figured I'd ask this here, instead of just making a new thread that'd possibly go nowhere.
So, I was reading some older topics on the boards when I came across this one wherein apparently there used to be a Secret Santa held. And really, given what 2020 has put us all through, I personally think some holiday cheer is something we could all use. I'd definitely be down to contribute to it, but would anyone else be interested? If so, I have no problem creating a new thread to organize it in. |

I'd definitely be up for participating in a Secret Santa (Secret Sentai?), but I'm wondering how that would work logistically with so many members of the board on different continents. Would there need to be a US one, a Europe one, an Asia one? Otherwise, yeah, +1 from me.

I'm doing alright today, not quite as productive as I wanted to be, but turns out I have less work then I thought, so it all works out.
