I thought it was pretty much figured out that they're only going back to dinos after the abysmal ratings of GoBus. It's less an idea and creative thing and more of a money thing.

There are tons of unexplored ideas, and there are even themes worth going over again (The martial arts series Dai and Geki are freaking awesome). They flubbed the spy theme (That's what I'm told GoBus was aiming for), the pirate theme bombed, and no one liked what they did with angels, so why not go back to the beginning, get ratings to a nice point, and then try something new again?

Akibaranger is an amazingly awesome and sadly too brief series. It is just so absurdly wonderful. All the Gokai Silver hate in the world is lost on me as well. He was easily the most interesting member of the team and my favorite. The Akibarangers are much like him but even more fun, excitable, and interesting.
