Probably not, if it's two against one.

There's a lot they could do wrong. They could use an inferior transfer. They could crop the image to 16x9. They could encode the transfer incorrectly. They could over-compress the transfer. They could use subpar audio encoding. None of these things are unheard of for Echo Bridge. They're a budget dvd/blu ray company. They make dvds and blu rays almost specifically for Walmart's $5-10 bins. They put in as little effort as possible.

That said for $8 it's not much of a risk.

No, not officially in the US. Godzilla 1984/Return of Godzilla is in legal limbo and will be for the foreseeable future. Best way to go is to import the Australian R4 DVD of the international version (I think there's one) or hold onto your VHS copies.

They have been known to port over VHS masters to Blu-Ray. They used a fullscreen master for Equilibrium for their BD release instead of widescreen. They never bothered to remaster From Dusk Til Dawn, and they only put a standard stereo audio file on the disc. They have listed the interactive menus as special features. There is absolutely nothing this company has released on BD that has shown any effort to be even remotely good at all. As such, I expect this movie to just be a VHS port as well.

No it isn't. It has never been released on DVD in the US at all, even dubbed.

I have my VHS taped off of HBO from back in the day along with a rip of the Toho release, but I will certainly be picking this up. Especially for the price.

Now as sunstorm said, where is Return Of Godzilla?

Legal Limbo? How? I never thought there was any type of problem, just that they haven't gotten around to it yet....

At this point, I'd settle for a bootleg, just to be able to watch!
