Eh, those two were already approaching the border of cheapness, so I'm not going further down for a seemingly more expensive Megazord. The main attraction for me for Power Rangers/Super Sentai mecha is their durability and solidness. Losing that is like having Lego made out of cheap plastic.

A removal of the wheel gimmick may be an improvement. Transformation wise, it does nothing much, and lots of things could have been better done with its removal.

This reminds me, Den-O, do you prefer the Gosei Great over the Gokaioh?

Do we typically disagree? :lol I'll say it again but the DX Goseiger prices have been falling for quite some time now. Down to the point that I now own the Great, Gruond, Skick Seaick Landick & Mystic Brothers, and Datas Hyper and I maybe have $150 into it all.
I do prefer the Gosei Great to Gaokiah. From a design point the Great is far more complex than the Gokaioh, it has more playability, it's just a more solid
toy. In show I would still say I like the Gosei Great better than Gokaioh. The Gokaioh looks good as a robot but it doesn't feel like a unified combiner with true individual pieces. The gimmick is the galleon, the other stuff is just there. The Gosei Great however has a beautiful design and when it all comes together it really feels like the individual parts make up the whole thing.

Gokai'd be different if, like Mega, the entire Mech would've been made out of the Galleon.

Yes. If they had just made the entire mecha the Galleon it would have been amazing. The individual Gokai Machiens are used once? Maybe twice at all? They can't really do anything on their own and aren't useful other than to be combined. Gokaioh should have been one ship and the powers from previous sentai could have been worked in much easier.

i love this design, yes its not the strongest megazord, but the design completely makes up for it, plus all the seaick landick (and skyick to an extent) look so much better, the new heads were always too long

And they didn't make sense together. You had the Galleon, a Racing Car, a Semi, and a Submarine. And, you're right, they were only used once. Otherwise they just plopped out of the Galleon and combined. That's another reason why I love Gosei Great so much. Because it works together. The Sea Team of the Seaick Brothers, the Ground Team of the Landick, and the Skyick. It just all works. The entire motif just works. And the toys have so much more playability. Look at Gokai-Oh and Maru. When you combine Pirates and Ninjas it loses what little posibility is has! The one good mech from Gokai will always be Gai's. That thing is epic. Even it's thrown-on Drill Mode. Now look at Gosei's Mechs and now Zords. They combine so much better than Gai's and Gokai did. And there's endless possibilities for how you combine them. Not just "This is it, now deal with it". And with the BoA Zord system you have even more. Yes, the plastic is going to be a little cheaper. But it's also durable. I can't tell you how many times I dropped Claw Armor Megazord and nothing ever broke, not even a stress mark. It's meant to be played with. BoA doesn't get everything right and Light Zord is a perfect example. But with the main mecha? They seem to get it right alot. Least to me.

I actually really like how the Header ports on the US version are colored like the Zords they're part of. I always thought that all the giant black plugs on Gosei Great really detracted from its overall look.

I'm not a huge Super Sentai fan, nor am I as big a PR fan as I used to be, though I've bought the 2010 Megazord and all the components for Samurai Gigazord, so I'll probably by the zords from this series. It still looks neat, but it's clear the Japanese version is better. I just don't feel like paying a crap ton of money for it. XD

this is not pleasing its like a cheap representation of it, the 2010 MMPR zord looks better than this. kinda sucks was actually willing to buy it but now idk.

I can't say that I'd ever recommend it. Even as a cheap alternative. It's too cheap in both quality and design. Goseiger DX mecha are already at really low prices. I'd suggest for anyone looking to get this they save their money and go after the Goseiger version.
