It was my first complete Sentai series and I'm pretty darn indifferent. I didn't particularly hate it, but it wasn't really that great. The characters were mostly bland, the plots were dull, and some of the later designs (IE: all of the obnoxious gold) were total garbage. There were some fun episodes, Gosei Knight was well-designed and had a great VA, and the base designs were pretty cool. It was very generic in a franchise with enough generic to go around.

I liked it hope they do good with Megaforce though

It's an adequate series that does enough good for me to give it a thumbs up. Gosei Knight, Brajira, the concept, and the overall tone outweigh the bad.
That said, I can't defend the bad whatsoever. The toy shilling that comes in the form of constant weapons and upgrades, the lackluster villains that don't really have any form of connection, the bland rangers who rarely receive meaningful character development, and a story that does little to actually set up the twist at the end.

Gosei is a mixed bag, but, in my opinion, it's not as boring as everyone says.
Then again, after fighting through 4 episodes of Sun Vulcan, I've grown a new found respect for watching grass grow and paint dry, so my perspective on what's boring might just be due to tolerance.

Gah. ... .. Fine. I'll watch Akibaranger..

Only reason I want to even watch goseiger at all is the glory that is gosei knight

god I can't wait for that figuart to get here this week :lol I may hate goseired with a passion, but i can stomache him i guess to see gosei knight in action :lol

and if it gets Sentai to watch Akibaranger, its worth it :p

I do plan to watch Goseiger eventually. Outside of Gekiranger, it's the one I want to watch the most.

I was going to follow it, but gave up after just the first two episodes. I know it really wasn't a lot to go on, but at that time I was influenced by naysayers on the internet and decided not to go for it.

Goseiger overall wasn't bad. I remember episodes feeling very long and dragged out. Over time I think I came to appreciate everything more. I will say the crossover movies helped. Both with Shinkenger as well as 199 heroes. I've developed a taste to where it becomes really hard for me to hate any Sentai or Rider show. Some just rank lower than others, but there isn't really a series I can hate.

Since I gave it 2/5 when I reviewed it, I guess that qualifies as me not liking it?

It looks great, and Brajira is one of my favourite Sentai villains, but I can understand why people find it a chore to watch. The main cast isn't particularly likeable, the villain groups underdeveloped and the bulk of the episodes boring.

I don't actively hate it by any means and I'll probably watch it again someday, but it's not a series I'd go about recommending to people.
