I'm gonna go out on a limb now and say that Torin looks evil as shit. Whose bright idea was it for a giant man bird monster to be the mentor for dinosaur heroes? :lol

Watched the raw. It's already pretty fun. Good music, just kind of a fun vibe throughout. Reminds me of Fourze but without that moody bitch Kengo.

I liked that the main villains' colors correspond to the Kyoryuger colors. Wonder if that means each like color will face off throughout the series. They villains are creepy as hell though! Not even just the clown stripper monster. The skull face boss dude is legitimately scary. Excellent creature designs so far.

Is Torin supposed to be an Archaeopteryx? That'd be cool.

The T-rex mech is cool as hell. He's almost like a big labrador retriever. In the file marked "Things that will never ever happen," Bandai would have plans for a giant SHF version.

Also the uniforms really do work better in motion than I'd expected. Black still looks best but Red and Blue are nice as well.

Brids evolved from dinosaurs. So Torin is sortof the DinoZords greatgreatgreat gransson/bird/thing

Red's whole thing with riding the avalanche he caused and letting GabuTyra swallow is the kind of awesomeness I demand from lead rangers.

I had a LOT of fun with this. Can't wait for the sub.

I am a sucker for scenes with both ranger and zord in the same frame. Dman you Toei, you knew that'd keep me around.

That said, I'm getting my bitching out of the way right now:
1) Dance to henshin is still the most moronic (for lack a stronger word that doesn't insult the mentally disabled) thing I've ever seen. It has no rhyme or reason to exist.

2) Dear morpher/narrator, shut the fuck up. You make my ears bleed. You sound like Mickey Mouse trying to talk like Krang while impersonating Tomokazu Seki. You ruined an otherwise awesome role play toy.

3) This one's not nearly as annoying as the other two. The opening theme wasn't used very well in the fight. They used the slow part when the fast part would've worked a lot better.



Now for some good:
1) Action direction. Oh Sakamoto, will I ever tire of you? The T-Rex and Red fighting together was a lot of fun to watch. The T-Rex's finisher (fighting the big monster) was insanly awesome.

2) There's at least some since of character in this episode. Blue looks to be a lot like Flynn mix with some Ziggy. Green looks to be the quiet guy that doesn't like guns. Black seems to have a huge ego (and I think he's suppose to be American...in which case I have to ask where the cowboy hat is). Pink is "the girl." Red...all I really got from him without subs was that he knew the mentor and was naming attacks before he gets powers.

3) The villain generals are just as goofy as they look. The head guy looks strangely like the Statue of Liberty. I'm pretty sure the location that Black fights near the first is suppose to be the base of the Statue of Liberty. It's just odd. Hope the subs help that. Also, the Ice Age themed monster was a great design.


I'm not exactly sure the team forms at the end, but that's something the subs will clear up. I'll be back when the subs are out and I know what's being said.

PS The first line of the show spoken by a human is "What is that?!" To that, I have to say good question. I have no idea what the dumb troops are suppose to be. They look like Jamaican amoebas. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I just wanted to say Jamaican amoebas. :p
