As someonone who's never seen Dairanger, could someone to me explain the significance of "China Red"?

He's from Akibaranger. I have yet to see Dairanger also. I have it. I just haven't gotten to it yet. ChinaRed is like the AU unofficial version.

Back in the 90's while Dairanger was in pre-production, it had been rumored to be a show based on chinese martial arts. It was also rumored at the time that the show would be called Chinaman because of its apparent chinese themes. However thats false. Toei confirmed in laster years Net Movies (Super Hero Taisen) that all Chinaman ever was was a made up rumor by fans. However the pre-production Dairanger costumes did feature those eyes on the helmet.

In Akibaranger Hate Saburo has allowed sentai history to be rewritten so that Dairanger never existed and instead Akiba is official. Because of this Dairanger is relegated to being unofficial and becomes Chinaman by default :lol

The fact that it comes with the alternate head means I will most certainly be buying 2! Heres hoping Kiba Ranger comes with his alternate chest emblem too.

Lol. I'll be totally happy with just one to display as ChinaRed. Out of Dairanger, the only figure I REALLY want is of course ShishiRanger. And then I'll get Kibaranger because Kibaranger.

The chest emblem on ChinaRed is different also. I wonder if that's simply a swappable part.
