It was a decent episode, but probably the worst one since the second episode of the first season.

The ending with the mother in law was completely lost on me.

That's probably because you've never seen or heard of Ninja Captor which is what they were referencing. Crazy older toku show. Don't be worried though, almost no one has ever heard of Ninja Captor.

Good episode, loved the song at the end, that was very out there. To the point that I wasn't actually sure if it was a real anime or not.

Super Akibared's debut was awesome as well.

This show needs to happen for longer intervals of time. It's so great. 13 episodes a year doesn't cut it.

Ninja Captor is the original Unofficial Sentai. Which is why Akibaranger tributes it by... turning it into a magical girl anime... Whatever, this show is still the best thing.
