Okay, retyping because I was all over the place in my original post.
This clip is going to empower both sides of the argument. Those who can't see that there's more to this than money are ONLY going to focus on the money comments made in the clip, because Jeffrey repeatidly states that Saban is worth 3.4 billion dollars. That's the unfortunate part about the clip because to those with heads who can't see logic are going to totally look past all the VALID, LOGICAL points Karen and Jeffrey made and focus only on the parts where they discuss how little the actors were paid in the beginning (and currently I might add). On the other hand, a major kudos to Karen Ashley for coming out and saying what she said. Haim Saban and the production company with Saban Brands in charge of Power Rangers have totally mucked up Super Megaforce and RUINED a great 20th Anniversary season. To treat the actors of the last 20 seasons the way that the production team treated them, even by doing invitations and then never getting back in touch, and never replying to people who rejected, is unprofessional in the highest calibur. It's becoming more clear to me just how much Saban cares about the fans of the show (not the little kids, but the older fans) ... and it's coming across loud and clear that he DOESN'T care about us. He DOESN'T care about the actors that work on his show. How can he, when he doesn't even know which actors are playing which characters? In the end, looks like the only one who doesn't care is Haim Saban. NOTE: The only part I took offense in is when Jeffrey referred to the people unhappy that Karen and the others aren't attending as "kids without jobs who probably still live at home in their parents' basement". There's really no need to be inflammatory when you're trying to quell a rather incinderary situation in the first place. |

Also, there's no need to be inflammatory either, when you're already pretty much winning the argument anyway. |

I really don't fault any cast members that can't afford to make an appearance. It makes sense for people to take the financially safer option for them, and if they don't want to risk their jobs that does NOT mean they hate the fans.

I'm glad she finally came out and laid it down for everyone. It really is just awful how Saban treated, and still treats, these people. It's really kind of clouded my opinion on Ranger series, to think that Disney was honestly being more fair and respectful towards the actors than Saban. (if Bridge's actor is to be believed, which I don't see why not)

She pretty much said EXACTLY what I said in the thread that got closed. The same people who are bitching about them not doing the reunion would be bitching when they only get a 15 second shot of the character from the neck up.
Think of the money saban has likely made off of the legacy toys and tell me how Rhett "wasn't in the budget" straight BS |
This whole thing sounds like an epic pile of shit. I wonder if this will effect the profitability of Power Rangers in the long run.

I'm glad she put some context to what's been going on. It's a shame and the fans and the actors deserve better.
