You mean the whole fact that Joe's a trained swords-master that's even adopted his teacher's special attack and even goes as far as to wield five swords doesn't imply anything about the character? Not only that his role call and general stance in every scene suits Joe's personality and is a pretty stark contrast to how Noah acts (when he is showing a personality beyond being a "nerd" steretype). Plus the fact that Gokaiblue's weapon of choice are dual swords while GoseiBlue's was a bowgun.

Then Don's fighting style and personalities don't even need to be explained, because just by watching any fight scene you can see what he is like out of suit, which is unlike Jake. Then, like with Joe, you're switching from an exclusively close combat weapon to an exclusively long range fighter.

Troy maybe can get away with Marvelous because Marvelous doesn't show huge amounts of personality compared to Luka, Joe and Don in his fights, except for his poses and stance. Despite the fact that Troy is a criminal blank slate personality-wise, they can get away with pretending he's a confident leader through the stock footage.

Gia and Emma only get away because Gia's "sometimes I fold my arms and look cross" "personality" is the closest current Saban will ever get to a strong female like Luka and GoseiYellow also used a close combat weapon and Emma can get towards Ahim if they cut her/ignore her polite role-call pose and stances because Ahim was the most generic fighter of the the Gokaigers.

Bad use. It's not because we "don't want change" it's the fact that there is no change, they're just copy-pasting fighting footage and pretending they're characters that they've made no attempt to line up personalities with. No attempt has been made to make the Megaforce characters work with the personality seen in the Gokaiger fights, which is inexcusable because there have been many examples where Saban/Disney has made an effort to make the Sentai footage match well with the PR footage.

It matters because they are different characters, but using the same footage for the fights. Sometimes it works, especially like in SPD and Time Force, because the Stock Footage and PR characters actually worked together and were believable. Gokaiger is not the case. It is a problem when the different characters are radically different to what they normally are whenever they're using Sentai footage. I don't know if they're going to cut most of the actual Gokaiger suit fight scenes, but looking at the two sets of characters and the Gokaiger footage, there are clearly going to be problems.

Yes. Joe is a trained sword master. That's why his technique of "Swing swords around really fast" is just so linked to Joe and Noah could never perform.
He flails the swords just as wildly as Don does. Just because he doesn't trip around doesn't mean his actual technique is any better. The 5 sword scene doesn't need to (And probably won't) be brought over.

Noah's weapon of choice changing can be explained away in a line of badly written dialogue, don't worry.

I disagree, Joe's alternating-one-hand-behind-back stance implies someone who's trained them self into knowing what they're doing around a sword. If someone new were to watch a fight scene in Gokaiger, I'm sure they'd identify Joe as someone who knows what they're doing with a sword. But I guess that's easy enough for them to ignore and I'm coming with an opinion of someone who has watched the show and knows Joe's background.

What does that have to do with anything?
I don't see Joe's sword fighting style as anything special, especially considering he who "Knows what they're doing with a sword" was outfought by Marvelous.
Outside of Luka with the strings, I never felt any of the Gokaigers's styles were any special.

I was saying that maybe someone who doesn't wouldn't automatically associate him with knowing what he can do with a sword. So maybe people who exclusively watch PR won't be bothered by it.

Marvelous didn't dual wield swords though and didn't have the, as mentioned previously, unique swordplay and stance that Joe did.
None had unique weapons, but all had personality-specific stances and styles, especially Don.

well maybe jake and noah will swap and noah will be green and jake will be blue, swapping them would make their personalities fit better
