The cgi made it good? The zords were not lacking anything. If anything, the cgi made the zords look weird. And I never cared about ooze. It was just an excuse for them to use slime.

I thought Ooze was fine for a big screen baddie. I don't like his name but as a character he was fine. The main problem I had with the Zord fight was and always has been the knee to the groin attack as a finisher.

In the MMPR:TM game for the Game Gear, the final cut scene shows the Ninja Megafalconzord using the spin kick attack to knock Ivan into the comet. This would have been incalculably better!

I loved this film as a kid! In fact it's what got me into power rangers in the first place. And of course my favorite part was final battle.

At the least, it feels "big". Yeah, nothing matches up with anything from the show, but you can look at the rangers' fancy new suits, the totally dated CG Zords and the skydiving and say "holy crap, someone poured money into this thing."

That's generally what I expect from big-screen versions of TV shows. For a better contrast, the first time I watched The Flinstones movie, I basically shouted "OH MY GOD, THIS ONE HAS AN ACTUAL BUDGET!"
