Oooh, I want these!
|
How is Megabloks "bullshit" again? They're quality of their toys over the past few years have increased quite a bit, if that's what you're referring to.
|
Oh, that's adorable!
It's a shame that they don't get their unique weapons instead of a set of Blade Blasters. I do hope this is a sign of things to come. After Kre-O getting back into building toys, I'd love for a MegaBloks set of the Dino Megazord. Hell, they could actually release a Dragonzord, too :lol |
These are nice, but where are my Ninja Storm Rangers? You know, the ones that aren't essentially LEGO Minifigs?

Megabloks is far from bullshit. Now $65 for a headhunter model or $120 for the Sith Fury that's half the size and weight of the Halo Phantom? That's bullshit. Hell, Megabloks sells troop packs at $13 that includes four fully sculpted, painted and posable figures with unique weapons while Lego charges $15 for maybe four primitive, tampo'd minifigs with some cheaply designed vehicle and those old blaster sthey've been using for years. (not even comparring the fact that Megabloks minifigs have tons of different body pieces to replicate the armour customization of the games, while Lego maybe makes a new clone helmet once in a blue moon or a new alien that they stick in ONE expensive set) I think this set is really cool. I still wish that their PR minifigs used the Halo style build, but whatever, this is cute and well-done. I'd love to see them do, y'know, OTHER series besides MMPR though. I hope with the success of these transitional figures we'll actually see them adopt that posbable, sculpted body. Imagine nearly-fully articulated, teeny little rangers with sculpted helmets, suits and unique weapons? I really wish we were there now. Quote:

Minor nitpick, but why is Red off to the side instead of in the middle? Just seems like an odd choice to put Black in the middle instead of Red.

Lego doesn't have to try. They have the brand recognition and licenses. When I picked up an Optimus Prime Kreon, it blew my mind that they had a waist and ball jointed arms and legs. Makes them far more lively. It's a shame Lego keeps their dull Legoman design. Megabloks and Kre-O have spoiled me in terms of minifigs. |

I wish White Ranger was in there, too. |
It would have been cool if the Green Ranger's chest shield would have been it's own seperate piece and not painted on, but that's a minor nit-pick. I'm guessing this set would normally be around $20 but but because it's a TRU exclusive it'll be closer to $25-$30.
