But the Battlizer. He was in a dangerous situation and he didn't know what function 3 did. It would have been too risky to just press it randomly (So the girl snuck up on him through the bushes and pressed it while he was spying on a monster or something). Like Switchblade said, it could have even been the self destruct for the Delta Megazord.

And a self-destruct feature is a stupid element that is rarely handled realistically. Yes, it makes sense for sensitive information, but it's like rigging your house and belongings to disintegrate in the event of heavy damage befalling your property.
