Gotta go with Mike on this one. Phantom Ranger is really useful, but in a fight the Magna Defender takes him out post-haste.

Well this is long since over. So.. Is Magna a Sixth or an Other? And not by Gokaiger standards, this isn't Gokaiger. I think it's.. odd. He looks the part of an Other but then morphs, so in my book that makes him a Sixth. Phantom is an Other.

Phantom is a Ranger, not an other. The Blue Centurian was the "Other" of Turbo.
The Phantom Ranger could morph, it was just that he chose to never power down on screen.

I'm counting the Magna Defender as an other, though. I don't really have much reason behind it. It might be the cape *Shrugs*

So does Wild Force having claws on the gloves mean that SPD aren't rangers?
Does Time Force having non-black visors mean Zeo aren't rangers?

Keep the series comparisons to their own series. I don't care what Mystic Force had. They're not the Lost Galaxy characters.

You were saying that Magna Defender was an "other" because he had a cape. Just because one ranger has a different design from the others (White Ranger in MMPR, Phantom Ranger in Turbo, Magna Defender in Lost Galaxy, White Ranger in Dinothunder, Kat Ranger in SPD, White Ranger in Mystic Force, and Robo Knight in Megafail are all examples) doesn't mean that he isn't a ranger.

My classification is much simplier.

Can they Morph? If Yes they are a Sixth, if no they are an Other.

Please, point out what I said, verbatim, that stated Magna Defender wasn't a ranger because he had a cape.
