I'm glad it's funded and all, but wheres my penguin pirate game thing for 3DS got to Mr. Inafune?
In all seriousness, it looks like it could be a fun game, sure it's just Megaman, but a good game is a good game. |
The game looks fun and everything, and this may sound stupid, but did it really need to be so megaman-like?
There's a Roll 2.0. a Cutman 2.0. and so on, I mean I would rather have the game stand on it's own feet and Inafune reputation, than being supported just because it's the closest we'll get to a megaman game. Just saying, looks fun anyways. |
It's only been two days and already he's made his first stretch goal!

it 1.5 mill this morning, and matrixbeast im sorry you have such poor out look on us Mega fans
|
The Kickstarter has 11 hours to go and only needs an additional $130,000 for 3DS & PSVita releases! Can it hit that mark???

The problem is that fans don't know what they want. They bitch when things change, they bitch when things stay the same. They want franchises to stay stagnant. Mega Man spends almost the entirety of the franchise decried as repetitious, so they stop making them, and now the fans act as if Capcom is doing them a disservice? It's angering. Quote:

@matrixbeast:
Forgive me but I do find the idea of you hating Mega Man because of it being as you have stated "repetitious" and yet you are on a tokusatsu website. I love toku but if you want to talk the same thing over and over then it's much, MUCH worse than the Mega Man series. |
His post doesn't actually say he thinks the game is repetitive...
Anyway, following this has been interesting despite knowing next to nothing about Mega Man. Tempted to donate and give it a go myself. |
I threw 'em my money because I like Inafune. I also like well-made 2D platformers that are just fun to play. I like that while their first game, Mighty No.9, is blatantly Mega Man for the community support, the intention is just to start a Japanese indie studio that just makes games that they want to make because they think they'll be fun. Kinda like a Japanese Double Fine.
A lot of indie studios try their hand at retro-inspired platformers, but not all hit their mark in the gameplay aspect, especially in level design. Here we have a team with an actual history of making fun games. |
