Nope, Pineapple and Strawberry are a two-pack and given their price (roughly 1000 yen iirc) they'll only include the armor.

I guess if they do well, they'll release armour sets. Or at least I hope so, as the figures will become kind of pointless if you have to buy a new one for every form

Well it makes sense to include the base figure with their base armour. Then release their new armours as they are unlocked in the show and if they sell well.

Although what I will be interested to see is how worthwhile the armours work out to be for someone like us, who have to ship them over from Japan. As thing like the SHF effects sets or whatever end up costing almost as much as a figure on their own, and it kind of ruins the charm of them.

And if we're priced out of collecting the different arm changes for our figures, then I guess part of the point of these figures is lost for us, beyond a cheap set of Gaim toys before/if the SHF hits.

On the other hand, if it's like most Rider shows and most of the forms turn out to be useless/shit and or pointless, this'll be a cheap way to have all the forms we like and class as iconic for the character. Rather than the way SHF do it, where we'd have to buy a whole separate figure for each form and even if we like two out of ten forms, it's still two expensive figures whereas here it might just be one 1000 yen armour set and we're done.

Well Japanese imports don't feel so expensive when you consider the price of toys here. :lol

Anyways, you are right, as much as I love the multiform balance of Riders it's rarely used well, and given how similar the 3 forms of Gaim seem to be, this way of releasing them is probably for the best.

Then again I have no doubt the mid-season upgrade and final forms will get independent releases. :p

In other news I'm pleasantly suprised by the fact the bikes are actually cheaper than the figures.

What I'm kinda hoping for is Arms Change comes in three waves. The first is the Base Rider and whatever Lockseeds he uses for the first half of the show. Then a second wave is whatever form the Rider takes for the mid season upgrade, then whatever new forms he gets on top of that in sets (IE I'm hoping that Gaim's base colour is just red or something and his Arms are just slightly more elaborate or something). And then one final figure for whatever final form they take.

I'll be pretty damn pissed if I have one figure with all the armours for the first half of the show, and then I'd be forced to buy like six more versions of each figure just to get the mid-season and final stretch upgrades I like. If that became the case, I may as well just wait for the SHFs for the final and upgrade forms.
