You know what? I'll gladly get Gokaioh instead of the Legendary Megazord. It may cost a lot more, but at least I'd be getting a show-accurate toy.

I think I get how Den-O feels when he sees BoA versions of the toys he owns. Gokaioh is a figure I actually have and the paint differences really just jump out at me.
In the USA it's not a bad option for its price, but here it the Megaforce Megazord already costs $59 ($54 USD). At that price I could just scrounge up some more for the Korean version, at least. |

I understand your feelings, at their original price BoA toys aren't that bad, but with the price increase in other countries they are rarely are worth it if you can go for the imports. |

Paint issue are minor and mainly sliver and gold, Just like Gosei great. If those are the only issues I'm sold, All it took to fix Gosei great was an afternoon with some metallic paint markers.

It's like a mini version. I kinda get why they went with Zord-builder pegs instead of doors that open, but the lack of a cannon is disappointing.
I wonder if they'll eventually do a special US release of Gokaioh, like they did for ShinkenOh and Gosei Great? |

I remember seeing pictures of it along with Legacy Megazord and "Nippon Edition" Samurai Megazord (ShinkenOh), but I have yet to see it in stores. Just assumed they were going to release it down the road, but I suppose it could have been cancelled, or just a mis-leading photo in the first place.

Though I also understand that you get what you pay for, that they make cheaper toys for a cheaper market. More aimed towards children and all that. As a collector I don't necessarily get to complain when the more cost effective thoys they're making here are meant for non-collectors/children. While I personally think removing the opening compartments was a mistake, I can see how the pegs will work. I can appreciate how the new US exclusive vehicles will attach using them. They are a bit obtrusive looking though. There's some cool stuff here if they run with the new vehicles. And the retracting plank piece is a nice touch as well. |
