Awesome, Garo Is definitely my favorite toku series. Hopefully the air dates for these have Zero start in early March and Garo start the third or fourth week of april, so it's 30 straigh episodes of the Garo world.

Isn't that fun to see all these project has been done a year ago while people were asking "when will I have something like <insert>?". :)

EDIT: Garo anime's MC is a makai knight, and his name has 3 words (hinted in Amemiya's blog).
- I guess he will not be from the Saejima family (the whatever-ga name).
- Since Yamamoto Shouma also works as a voice actor now, his character "山刀翼" ("Yamagatana Tsubasa" may have a better chance of being the hero in the anime.

So where are you guys reading that the new series will be have Kouga's son in it? And how do you know his name already?

I wonder why is it that Sentai and Kamen Rider usually got few months time between shooting an episode and airing it while GARO already finished shooting one year before it airs?

It's pretty clear based on the trailer, seeing as the Garo armor hasn't lost it's shine yet, it's not Ryuga, AND the kid is very clearly a Kouga "clone". He acts just like the guy, almost like a knockoff of him. The information itself comes from the event these were shown at.

Yeah, Garo is the one toku you don't watch to be sold toys. Garo almost feels untainted compared to other tokus in that regard.

Ah...no. TOWSITD is in the far future. The Garo has been sitting in disuse for 2 or 3 generations. They left it open so they could add as many stories as they want in between. If I had to guess, and assuming Makai Senki happened in the recent past, I would estimated TOWSITD happening around 2100-2150. There is nothing supporting TOWSITD being an AU.

Even more fun to look forward to! I hope the anime has a better lead than Tsubasa. I mean, an anime would have the best chance of a US release (even if it's just streaming with subs) and I'd like it to be their best foot forward. That foot is not Tsubasa.

The name Saejima Raiga is a character from the short stories in the supplementary from Garo season 1. The stories are about a butler telling a kid about the adventures of Garo. At the end of the final chapter the butler called the kid "Raiga young master", and 2 unnamed characters called the butler "Gonza".

I'd buy that argument if TOWSITD took place in a world that didn't look exactly like 2013 minus a high-tech 3D newscast. Nothing else about the show looks futuristic enough to be multiple generations after Kouga.

But that's just the limitations of making something like this. It's hard to make something look super futuristc based on today's standards. Look at Doctor Who settings in 30th & 40th+ centuries still looking like everyday places with a few extra bells and whistles. Not looking enough like the future isn't the strongest argument for saying something isn't in the future.

Indeed it's It's not easy to make something look super futuristc based on today's standards and even if you can, you'll need a good budget for it. Basically, it's budgetary and idea constraints. IINM, didn't the cast and crew themselves said that Yami o Terasu Mono was set in the future?
