Gekiviolet was the only purple Ranger at all, wasn't he? I can't remember another one.

That depends on whether or not you consider Wolzard to be a Ranger (Or you go the Gokai route, with only Wolzard Fire considered one).

Personally: I count Wolzard as a corrupted version of Wolzard Fire, not a real ranger. Purple wasn't his true color. If any of that makes sense.

Yes, but technically, they're now considered part of the series, making GoRanger the first Sentai :P
