Dangit. Why can't Amazon ever ship something early?

Just because they aren't going to be sold at major chains doesn't mean the future of more releases is in question. We were never promised nor guaranteed them in the first place and no one should have ever entertained the notion that something like this would be a wide retail release. It just does not appeal to a broad enough swath of potential buyers to make it to physical store shelves in most cases. This was very much expected.

FYE and Barnes and Noble might carry it. They are known to carry more niche titles compare to Target, Best Buy and Wal-Mart. I did remember seeing Shout! Factory's DVD of Ultraseven at FYE over a year ago.

Excepted maybe, but it doesn't make it any less depressing. How are people supposed to even know about this being released then if they don't go to message boards?

Anyway, I've got one copy preordered for myself and I plan to pick up a few more this summer to give away as prizes during my Toku panels at NDK (although, if my panels for A-Kon get approved, I might give a copy away there).

Well one way they could know is through YouTube. I know there are plenty of people who get most of their news through YouTube. People will know that way with Youtubers talking about it. And I mean channels like MMPRTOYS, Shukuen Shinobi, Hassan etc.

Maybe I should do a DVD review of the series then...
