On the other hand, this seems to be something I've wanted for a while. A low key crossover much like that of an episode of Gokaiger that's used when relevant. These are good things that I really like. I just wish it was NinjaBlack and Hurricane Blue. Then all of my arguments would be invalid.
But this is a normal Nininger episode, so I see nothing wrong with it.

I do agree though that with two mechs already and a crossover with Drive, this series has poor pacing.

So is this episode going to be canon? I never buy into Sentai crossovers being canon with each other due to timeline reasons that shows have with each other.

It's a standard episode, in the standard episode count, not a special or anything. Now, we don't know if it's going to be a completely one off never mentioned again or if something important will happen there.

If by "get away with it" you mean "is laugh inducing" then yes, I agree.

Personally, if we're going to do any Kakuranger call backs I want it to be Sasuke doing a Storyteller segment on the Yokai.



PS I just now noticed the Ninningers don't have a scabbard on their backs like the other ninja teams. Huh.
