Well I guess Lionsgate can take over Pacific Rim 2's release date spot for their Power Rangers movie if nothing works out.

That's sad to hear. The first one did work well enough as a stand-alone movie, but I enjoyed it enough that I was looking forward to another one.

Eh, wasn't really a big fan, but I was curious to see how it would turn out.

A shame it is on hiatus.

I love the first movie, but I'm not upset if they didn't made a sequel. At least a comic book sequel series could be possible though.

Pacific Rim is genuinely one of my most disliked movies (For a multitude of reasons), Though I think Toku has ruined me on Giant Monster fights though Sentai and UltraMan are so much better than this. Anyways I was looking forward to a sequel though and for the people who actually enjoyed it this does suck.
