Any time a toyline gets a movie, retailers are willing to accommodate a larger retail footprint. If BoA were to offer only the current merchandising model, then they wouldn't have enough toys to fill that larger footprint.
Q4 should be fun in that you'll see Star Wars and Power Rangers dominating the holiday toy aisles. |

I think Bandai is excited for 2017. Obviously they'll have the next line of Legacy Megazords to release (Shogun, probably Tor, and tease Zeo at SDCC), they'll be in their second batch of Legacy figures (if they sell), and they'll also be pumping out movie stuff (biggest Megazord ever) along with doing some redesign of the Ninninger stuff for international release.
In theory - they stand an incredibly good chance to begin to move up the rankings against Playmates, NECA, Jakks Pacific, and Mattel in the boys toy category. |
I think what would make the Legacy line much more attractive would be 50% less diecast and 100% less zord builder...

But Zord Builder is just a port. I'll never understand that stupid argument, as to why ZB is "terrible".
