I'd say the Kiva stuff worked best because it was kind of thematic to everything in the show with the gothic horror designs and the fact half the show is about how the title character was conceived.

You can call the 3 triangles BS all you want (I strongly disagree as especially with Otoya's 2, I found them to be actually indicative of his character development from womanizing jackass who sees women as challenges to win to actually seeing Maya as more than some prize or challenge and actually had a connection with her) but they had more of a place with the atmosphere.

The Kota/Micchy/Mai one in Gaim also gave us the wonderful image of Mai bitchslapping Micchy (Micchslapping?) so can't complain there either. :lol
