They ugly.
Though I'm not really a Power Rangers fan and I have no real interest in the movie either way, so I'm not losing any sleep over it or anything. But they ugly. |
I will have my thoughts later on - (long post).

No. These look like it's those Asylum parodies instead of a reboot. The 1995 suits is way better and represents what a big budget design of the suit would be.

I saw these yesterday. Didn't like them then, probability will not like them anytime soon, but I'm OK if other people like them.
It's just feels like they copypasted Iron Man here for me. Hollywood has no imagination these days. |
These re-designs don’t scream “Power Rangers,” which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I mean, a costume doesn’t reflect on how good a film will be. If a film is well-written, then that something that looks out of place could be overlooked if it’s not too glaring. That could be applied to anything, really.
Ultimately though, I’m not sure how I feel about them. When I first saw them, my initial reaction was, “Ew!” They look like they belong in a film that’s dark and edgy or another toku. They kind of remind me of Go-Busters. |

I'll post here what I did on social media. This movie isn't supposed to be your childhood. Your childhood is streaming on Netflix. They needed an update, a new design, and that's what they gave us. Look. It's like with Rita. It's one static shot done all in CG. A shot that probably isn't even in the movie at all. They'll more than likely look much different in motion in actual shots from the movie. So keep that in mind.

And then they talk we should avoid copying the imagination of others.
