The way you made it sound, they aren't going to net much of a profit anyway.

Sure, I think it's possible. They haven't done a full, evil team since the Nezirangers, so I figure we're due for a revisitation of that concept at some point.

I have always been shocked by the fact that with all of the ideas that sentai uses over and over sentai uses that a evil counter part has only been used like twice. I would think that from a business prospective it would have them a lot of money if they made weapons and mecha for the evil team.

It makes me think there must be a reason why they don't. Maybe they think it distracts from the iconography of Sentai as innately heroic?

Villains don't sell.

Depends on the series, though yeah, Sentai villains I don't really notice a lot of merchandise though.

Then again, considering this year they went with the whole 6th ranger starts off as an evil lackey plot, which they don't always complete do (I don't count Utchy because he was basically being worn, and Kinji was more a playful (deadly) rival who still fought the Yokai in-between his early assassination attempts).

If they're cool with revisiting the whole "6th starts bad" trope, why not mix that with Kyoryuger's "we have 6+ rangers" approach and have a full team of evil rangers, even if they are all redeemed at the end (as annoying as that would be, for me at least).

I never, ever buy villain figures. But if given the opportunity, I'd buy a Neziranger or Flowery Kunoichi Gang figurart in half a heartbeat.

The only reason they don't is because the freaking red rangers sell fucking more! Sorry I hate the fact that i can't find a red ranger whenever I look for one.

That depends greatly on the show. Like, the villains in ToQger were so popular that Bandai made toy versions of their train robots.

But yeah, I think in general Bandai and Toei want any Ranger looking dudes to play nice with each other. You can kind of tell this is why the whole tribal conflict aspect of Goseiger becomes almost non existent after a few episodes.
