I will NEVER EVER going to watch Ninninger! That show was awful! Most of actors except Katsumi's actor are very INEXPERIENCED! Toei really need to hired acting coach because Red Ranger's acting was rubbish!!

Why he yell so many time? I mean you don't see Yamato yell all the time! To be honest, I really don't like their theme song.

It's obviously most of Toei Executive never actually watch Old School Sentai show because Kyoryuger, ToQger and Ninninger were Red Ranger Show! Have they even watch JAKQ? Big One stole the leadership from Red Ranger! I never watch all JAKQ!

If Toei made Red Ranger of Upcoming Kyuranger another SCREAMING Red Ranger. I refuse to watch it! Ninninger was the reason of why It killed Super Sentai, I feel they went too far! I could survive Kyoryuger, I could survive ToQger but I couldn't survive Ninninger

However Zyuohger was able to make me into Sentai Fan again. :)

I hope Kyuranger will NOT end up becoming a mess up show like Ghost!

I dunno, I liked Ninninger enough to watch about 2/3rds of it before I just... stopped. I'd had enough of Zyuohger after 4 episodes (I watched the Gokaiger episodes as well).

They're nowhere near my favourite shows though.

So I have my own question, since I don't poke around the Sentai threads too much. Do people not find Zyuohger to be Red-centric?

Because frankly I think it's been really heavily focused on Yamato at the expense of the others (who seem kind of flat to me). Both ToQger and Ninninger really put emphasis on how each member of the team contributes something important but with Zyuohger it comes off like the rest of the team are basically just Yamato's groupies some of the time.

It reminds me a lot of Kyoryuger in that regard. I'm not saying it's a problem or anything (I like Zyuohger and think Kyoryuger is amazing) and obviously everybody else is still important but when Zyuoh Eagle is pulling triple duty as Zyuoh Gorilla and Zyuoh Whale it seems a little silly to act like being too centered on the Red guy is the problem when what you really mean is "I want the Red guy to not be a loud idiot."

I felt Starninger over stayed his welcome. He was fine at the start but got boring and pathetic after he fought Wolf Man. Toei really needs to go back to making the sixth ranger a more casual member who is there when he needs to be, or when his story is going to be advanced, but not there in every god damn freaking episode.

I really don't feel like it's really Red centric. It does focus on Yamato in terms of powers, but Gorilla was never stronger than the others, just gave him a different ability.
The only moments where it felt like Yamato was above the rest was when he fought Bunglay, but beyond that, it feels like each member matters. Also, most of the stories Zyuoh tells are more about everyone else, either how they get along (Or don't, for anyone+Leo), or snippets on their history. Yamato's relevancy is rarely brought up, and his feeling of being an everyman helps people connect with him a lot easier, which helps him become more endearing.

Ninnin's designs are one of the best but sadly the story got boring along the way.

I've haven't been catching up with zyuohger honestly, I stopped at episode 11 (I believe), but that's because I was busy watching other shows and stuff, and now that it is at the episode 30s, it's time to go back to it and marathon it, but what I remember from the episodes I've watched, my only gripe were the villains, as the villains didn't feel that interesting, but I did like how the characters (save tusk) were at least interesting and had some cute and funny moments and the story was fine. But Ninninger, OH BOY....did I regret going back to it after dropping it. That sentai went NOWHERE. The story was way too fast paced and as a result, the story/plot lines they had ended up concluding too quickly not meaning anything (starninger's feud with grandpa), the characters were probably the most uninteresting characters I've seen in a sentai. Takaharu was annoying, Yakumo was boring, Nagi had no character at all, Fuuka was a useless ditz, Kasumi had potential but was honestly pretentious and her character development had no weight to it, and honestly the son of the grandpa (forgot the name) was the best character in the sentai bar none. The story was practically nonexistent, the plot practically went nowhere with the sentai really being 80-85% filler (seriously, you could literally watch like 9 episodes at most and you would understand the story completely), the comedy sucks. I honestly can't think of anything positive about ninninger except for the grandpa's son. At least ToQger had an interesting story and villains. Ninninger has none. And I have to go back to Zyuohger

I can see that perspective. I liked how much Kinji blended in instead of just being the +1 to the rest of the group but it's hard to deny he's in the spotlight a lot. I don't mind either approach if it's done well.

I'm mostly playing devil's advocate here since I don't actually think they've done a bad job but of course each member matters. Kyoryuger's episodes were all about (character A) plus (character B) too but for some reason a ton of people are convinced Daigo was the "only one allowed to do anything". He was certainly a big personality and just like Yamato is very much The Leader, but he was always talking about how much he values his team and his team was always doing helpful crap even when they weren't in focus that week. So I'm really curious what the difference here is beyond Yamato being a lot more chill.

A ton of people say that about King because honestly, when it comes to the kyoryugers having character arcs, King practically solves their arcs for then. I remember Souji's arc about getting to know his parents better, but it was practically solved by king (an example). If it wasn't that, then its the fact that King made every sentai member in the show feel useless, especially after getting the carnival mode. After getting it, the other kyoryugers are only there to control the mecha, otherwise, King could just use carnival and destroy the monsters himself. I've said this a while ago, but it holds true. At that point, the other kyoryugers may as well have been cheerleaders for King
