I like my Ultra-Act UltraSeven a lot, so it'll be tough to justify this at first.

Part of the reason Bandai is doing Figuarts of ultraman is so they can cash in on the 50th Anv that's what I think.

Speaking personally I see no reason at all the get the Figuarts Ultramen. I don't like the smaller scale and don't find them to be structurally that much better engineered than the Ultra-Act renewals were. No real reason for them to exist if you ask me.

Comparing the pictures between this and the Ultra Act, the head on this one is far more accurate to the show than the other version.

I'm gonna weigh in here and say that the finish on the Figuarts is WAY nicer than that of the Ultra-Acts. Granted Ginga is the only one I've ever owned (I've handled others though) but there's just something about them that isn't quite right. The Ultra-Acts look/feel like toys, while the Figuart's matte finish feels more like an affordable articulated replica. Helps that the SHF is more suit accurate than the Ultra-Act as well.

As for overall quality, my SHF isn't the best I've seen the line offer but it's nowhere near as bad as some of the complaints I've seen/heard. But I may have just lucked out there, as I haven't really seen a whole lot of other English reviews of the thing.

I'll have mine up in a week or so where I can more intricately address my grievances with the figure. In short though, it just doesn't work for me. It's just a not a functionally great figure IMO. I get where you're coming from on suit accuracy, but as far as QC goes my old Ultra-Act V2 is made so much better.
