This is the bottom of the box. There is no way this label was removed and put on this box without tearing it. I tried to pull it off and it can't be done without completely ripping it apart. Also, a pic of my receipt.

Says Shinkenger on your receipt, so the sticker probably was pulled off and placed on. Believe me, that can happen with a lot of patience. Plus, it looks like it was placed on poorly and it says Power Rangers on it

I really wanted to believe this was happening. I'd like to be able to get more Figuarts. I'll wait to see what Bluefin does later on.

If you weren't the one that did it as a hoax, then someone else returned something they don't want to get a free Shinkenger figure basically. Either way TRU made their money back so, it's all good. But in the end I guess there are still no new Figuarts available in the US mass market.

Yeah man, pretty obviously a hoax. If the Saban Brands and Power Rangers text on the bottom of the box didn't give it away, then the utter lunacy of a random character like Gills being out in the US should have. It's fake dude. Someone just taped the bottom of a Shinkenger box to the bottom of a Gills box and returned it. A Kamen Rider is not going to ring up as a Shinkenger.

Compared the bottom of the box to my Shinken Gold from Toys'R'Us - same UPC, same stickers, etc.

I do it all the time...just by using a hair dryer with hot air to melt the glue then slowly pull the sticker off with a ctter

Well, I guess the jury is in, but for the record, my story is 100% accurate and true. I don't bs around like this and anyone that knows me at TFW2005 will vouch for my credibility. As for being duped - that's definitely not the case. I imagine it would cost me more (including shipping) to get this anywhere else, and if nothing, I have 90 days to return it - which I'm not going to do.

Mandarake has that figure listed between 1,000 yen and 1,500 yen, and with SAL shipping, at the lowest you're looking at $20 for the figure, so if someone is sick of the figure, and swapped it with a $34+ figure from TRU, that's saving money right there. Not saying you had anything to do with it in terms of the hoax, just that this doesn't exhibit any signs that it's a legit release in the US.
