Honestly I think they all make enough sense. They just make a slightly odd kind of sense, which is basically the show's whole deal.
We've covered how Snipe is obvious for one, but protagonist and all around heroic guy Ex-Aid getting an upgrade inspired by Super Robot shows seems straightforward enough to me. Brave's Level 3 form is clearly meant to be a deliberate 180, and the show even makes it a point that a Rhythm game doesn't really suit him. As for Lazer... okay, this one is admittedly kind of a cop out but his whole thing is being different and weird anyway, so going from a bike to a samurai is arguably the perfect kind of nonsense for him. |

TBH, a Samurai Knight is kind of redundant, but a Bike Samurai is absurdly awesome (shout-out to Gaim lol).

I mean, yes. You could argue that basing him off of a transforming robot seems like more of the given route. But let's be fair, most Japanese robots are based on Samurai in one fashion or another anyway. :lol |
Okay I get what you're saying and won't lie I think brave should have gotten a different form as well but as for the gekitotsu robots thing. I think it would really only fit with Ex-aid because both it and mighty action x are fighting games.
Also I think they wanted the contrast with both Brave and Lasers second forms but I could be wrong. |
Mighty Action X isn't a fighting game, it's a platformer.
