Yes but even if Generations Gears was the redeco later, in G1 Swerve was Gears' redeco and thus even subsequent toys of the G1 character aren't "not a redeco of a previous toy" in my book even if they are the initial release. Kind of a legacy thing.

Only thing special about the set is the Phantom Ranger and Titanium Ranger keys. since there was no sentai counter part for these two, this is the only way to get an official ranger key of them. Otherwise its just metallic colored ranger keys.
