An interesting use of the S.I.C. style to make monstrous characters more monstrous.
|
Man this figures! Details on point!
It's figures like these that gets a collector going! It makes you wanna have them in your collection! They look stunningly beautiful! |
When I saw the picture at the beginning of the post I was like "oh... ok... well..." but then I saw the figures and they look amazing! Love how the look kinda creepy also hahaha

These figures look fantastic. The price makes it worth it, but the age of the figures and their fragility are hang-ups on them. Especially for those that like to play with their toys.

Yeah not gonna lie, I had no idea these guys existed until today :lol
I don’t think I’ll ever look into the show, but the SIC figures do look sweet. Zabitan is my favorite; he looks the best out of the three figures as he’s the only one that actually kinda looks like a demon. He could fit right into Devil May Cry or something. Love his sword too. Ibiru gives me a Reverse Flash-vibe even though I’m not that much into Flash. I do like the black lining on his body and his pistol looks great too. Gabura is my least favorite; his head looks like… you know… something that goes into a toilet. The SIC design changes it a bit but I’m still not a fan of him. I do like his armor and the heavy gauntlets, but I wouldn’t buy this figure. The axe and mace look sweet but among the weapons I also like these the least. Still, they look mighty fine together and I enjoy the group shots the most. The "one for all, all for one" - pose fits them well. |
Not very familiar with these characters, but the description for them is really cool and the figures look pretty accurate. You could say it's "sic"k

This is a rare case in which which I actually like the SiC designs for something. Fortunately, I had a toku-veteran friend with me when I watched the Fourze/Wizard movie, so he made me aware that the Akumiazers were repurposed toku heroes. If I recall correctly, wasn't that the movie that gave us Poitrine? I got curious about that period when I made the connection between that and the villainous versions of Groundain and Skydain in the Fourze movie. (And as I was typing that, I remembered the Inazuman revival in another film.) Was Toei just spitballing potential hero revivals? And if so, why cast several of those older toku heroes as villains?
Is there a difference between the sabres for Zabitan and Ibiru? It looks like Zabitan's may be fractionally shorter, but otherwise, I can't spot a difference between them. |
Huh. I honestly forgot these guys existed in that movie. I've definitely seen it, but it's a big blurr. Which is a shame, because these guys look pretty damn good. The red one's definitely the best, though.

Thematically the following year I guess they wanted to mix things up so they went with villainous version of the Akumaizer 3 & Space Ironmen Kyodain. Poitrine remained heroic but turned out to be an illusion as well. The new Inazuman started off evil as Sanagiman before turning to help Gentaro later on. It's an interesting turn to take after the previous years' film and it's unashamed celebration of Ishinomori and his heroes. But that 12 month span of films really honored the history of Toei so much better than I think anything else has in recent memory. |
i love the redesign of the old suits it makes them feel as though real demons i just wish they could be smaller
