Except, as was just pointed out, Daizyujin was roughly $230 on HLJ while they were taking pre-orders, not $300. GoLion was about $10 less. Pre-ordering them would have brought them in at well under $300, even at AmiAmi. $220-$230 is pretty darned reasonable considering the quality and detail of the SoC line. You may not want to pay it, which is perfectly understandable, but it isn't any form of gouging. (I know that you never said it was, just to be clear.)

As someone who's spent like 400 dollars on ggg dlc, I'm still angry they didn't give us broken magnum and protect shade parts. If bandai decided to do other zyuu socs, i expect them to dick people over too

Okay, yes, you're right, they were cheaper for preorders, but then you have to account for shipping and that if you get a defective figure, you are screwed.

I just can't take that chance. I'd rather wait for Bluefin's release so that if I do get a defective figure, they will replace the missing part or exchange it for a new one.

Neverthless, to me, $200 is perfect. I'll wait a bit to see if the Golion goes on sale when I get my tax return in Feb/March. I had sold off my Mattel 24inch Voltron for $380 to buy the SOC one, but I came to the realization that I would rather use that money on several figures (and Xmas presents).
