Well, that's certainly very... literal, I guess.

I didn't watch the video, but looking at the still image, it might not be that bad. Yeah, the toy looks like melted wax, but think how many toys use a really minimal amount of color. Looking as closely as I can, I see a lot of areas that, if painted a different color, might make the character look pretty decent. I'm hoping that's the case.

Goldar looking like a "melted" version of the Megazord is not coincidence.

...Huh. I wish his face had some elements of his original look. I could get behind the melted gold thing if his face had more features to it beyond "I took a picture of a melted candle."
