For being a different planet, it looked liked the same rocky beach area that has been in every other show and the one where the rangers picked up Garu.

Nope. Minoru Sawatari who was most notably Hayato Hayamizu the detective from Kamen Rider Black RX, and was also in GogoV, Magiranger, Shushutorian(that magical girl tokusatsu show where Ninja White was one of the leads), and Ultraman Tiga prior to this episode.

Wow, that series is coming up a lot lately.

Never seen it minus the opening clip but Ninja White's actress was one out of the three main magical girls in that show prior to Kakuranger(and as an inside joke they later brought the two other actresses as guest stars in Kakuranger:lolol).
