I did not like this movie and I am trying to figure out why. Firstly I think I prefer the old format to the crossover where each rider gets their own thirty minute stories before they meet up for the final third. I did like the beginning where the evil four walked into GEMN Corp. and started shooting people that was a good start. They didn't show blood so I figured they could still be alive then Gekitotsu dude snaps a guard's neck. DAMN! Why was Makoto, Alain and the others there? I understand why Onari and Akari, which I was fine with. But the others just felt really pointless and it bugged the crap out of me. I did really love seeing Haruto and Shinnosuke more than I probably should. Also glad I was right that Gaim would appear with Mr. Belt, though it would be nice if Kouta's actor could of been in the movie. The final battle was really of for me because with the past crossovers the final villain would grow or do something that would cause for a dynamic final battle. This one they didn't but they did add Takeru dying for some dumbass reason. I also know that the previous rider usually gets some kind of new form even if it's just a change in colors. But the way Takeru got his new eyecon just felt like it was pulled from someone's ass. The action with Ex-Aid and the Ghost riders just felt off for some reason till the final battle. I get why Akari wanted to go see Takeru at the end but damnit did I find it stupid for a few good reasons.

I played both scenes back-to-back and it is the exact same line with the exact same pronunciation. But yeah, I still stand by what I said earlier, in that original scene it worked because Kota had a personal grudge against Sid, but in Heisei Generations, it comes off as random because Gaim was so cool before and the GiriGiri-Lady never did anything to piss him off that much. Also about Emu's acting. Maybe it's because I only got 2 hours of sleep but I didn't think there was anything bad. Especially as how in the show his actor's able to mimic the speech pattern and body language of a different character very well. I also really liked the effects used for the Mighty Brothers Bugster lines on Emu's face even if the Mighty Brothers Gashat came out of fucking nowhere |

Anyone notice Dekapink made a cameo appearance as a news anchor? This isn't the first time a toku veteran randomly pops up in a movie as a minor character. The five riders form changes was predictable, but I enjoy it especially with their opening theme playing in the bg.

Just caught this sub. Fun movie, nothing ground breaking. It's always wierd to see these so late, since Ex-Aid's story has advanced so much further on TV
but hey An excuse to spam a buncha suits from Gaim and Drive? BRING IT ON BABY Kachidoki form and Drive Type Trideron, some of my favorite designs in action again in full glory who can complain about that The new movie final form for Ghost looked pretty cool too. Would like SHF but doubt it happens. Oh, Wizard Infinity and All-Dragon can stay i guess. |
People have a problem with Emu's actor? Really? I thought he was fine in this, and he's especially impressive in the show where he basically has to switch between two personalities (which he does a good job at doing).
Although this movie did make me remember how whiny and passive Emu was early on (not that it's necessarily a bad thing...). |

On my 2nd rewatch of Heisei Generations, I noticed that Haruto (Wizard) seems to be a little chubbier than I remember. He should cut down on those donuts already... lol.
