I'm really curious what the Japanese fan reaction is to BoJ modifying DX Dairenoh, instead of releasing the Legacy Thunder Megazord.

Was a reason given why they aren't using legacy thunder megazord?

Too be honest im not too surprised they used the original dx mold. Past artisan releases have only used dx molds with added diecast.. but to choose this over the legacy thunder megazord, id probably have to go with legacy thunder.

The fact it has Zord Builder ports that do not have a function in Japan might be one factor. BoJ probably sees the Legacy mecha as tailored for the U.S. as a result.

It's nice that BoJ and BoA are communicating again with the new Super Sentai series. It has me hoping that we'll begin to see shared product again at some point in the future. We're well past the Great Recession...parents are willing to pay more for toys again.
